El Cap Restaurant, St Petersburg

this place is awful the kitchen looks dirty and the burgers are ok the worst thing is i dont know which would be more expensive, The burger or the hospital bill you would aqcuire after eating there.No, really there burgers are quite expensive it cost me and my wife over $30.00 for 2 burgers 2fries and 2 drinks and they really are not that good. Everyone raves about this place and it left me scratching my head and wondering if they really had tastebuds in there mouth. Maybe years ago they were good but not now if you want a good burger try harveys on 4th st or chattaways there good and you definetly will go back

These are simple, well made, tasty burgers! Jucy, hot and good! If you bring the family and don't like a bar atmosphere, sit outside... This is, after all a bar and it can be a bit loud and smelly because of this, but the food is so worth the trip, you wont mind anyway! It is almost ALWAYS packed at dinner and lunchtime and can be hard to get a seat and the wait is a bit long sometimes on those days but as I said... It's worth any problem that you could imagine where anywhere else it might deter you from coming back... Here, it wont. The food is that good!

But I recommend El Cap fans try Ted Peter's Smokehouse on Pasadena Ave - the burgers are similar, but less greasy. Strange sides, though, like potato salad and cole slaw. El Cap does have a great atmosphere, though. And the cook is great, possibly the friendliest man I've ever not quite met.

At least! It's almost as good as the burgers I cook. That is saying a lot for those that have enjoyed my cooking. They have outstanding hot wings as well.

Well, when I'm not in China I always stop at El Cap. The place is an institution, great Burgers! The complainers that want free refills should go to McDonalds and get one of those ground McCowhides, they’ll give you refills to wash it down.

burgers were small and everything is extra on it went late before close.Beer is priced well service good I;ve just had many other better burgers at a better price..
