Perfect Downtown Location
It's the oldest restaurant in St. Pete and also the best place to sit in the shade and drink a long island iced tea. The menu changes, and sadly some of my favorites are no longer available, but the pesto penne is always good, as is the rosemary chicken and the catch of the day. My sister said the sirloin was juicy and perfectly cooked. I've never had an issue with service.
The Garden does have live jazz Thursday and Saturday, and is attached to The Lobby, a lounge, which can get loud. Avoid dining and drinking on the first Friday of each month as Central Ave has a block party that draws considerable traffic.
The fellow who owns the Garden also owns the upscale Redwoods restaurant on the same block.
