My wife and I went and well...it's not what it used to be. The place is a bit run down...especially the restrooms. The italian wedding soup used to be good...now, it's WAY over-salted and peppered, the salad swims in dressing and the servers don't seem to care any more. I was actually choking on the soup and the server just said, "sorry" and didn't offer a solution.....neither did the manager when I mentioned it on our way out the door. Sad!

Great ambiance, the restraurant is actually in a warehouse! The service was good, there were many people waiting outside but we were given a true estimate of the time we would wait to be seated, which I appreciate. Our server was good and attentive although it was very busy. The food was okay, I mean, nothing to write home about but it good for the price you pay. It's less expensive than an Olive Garden but not as good, and I don't exactly consider Olive Garden great Italian either. All in all, it was a good dining experience. It's family friendly and affordable, which is nice! Would probably go again.

This place is wonderful. From the moment we were greeted at the door, everyone was so welcoming. We felt like A-listers! We had two servers for our party, and they didn't miss a beat. They were so personable, attentive but yet not intrusive. We had everything we needed at the right time, drink refills, bread, dishes cleared etc... they were on top of it. My food was delicious. I really enjoyed the Sampler appetizer with calamari, brushcetta and mozzaralla triangles. Several of us ordered Lasagne and all I heard around the table was MMMMM, Yummmmm...thoroughly enjoyed it! We then walked around the restaurant and looked at all the interesting wall hangings and took some family photos of us hanging out of the trolley car windows. Good times!!

Spaghetti Warehouse is a wonderful restaurant. I love every thing about it!!! Located in an actual turn of the century downtown warehouse, it has a charm all it's own. The inside ambiance is casual and laid-back. The decor is a light hearted hodge podge of vintage kitsch, everything from old movie poster's, church stain glass windows, to a trolley car converted to serve meals in. Let's not forget the food. If you love traditional Italian cuisine the Spaghetti Warehouse aims to please. I recommend their lasagna and angel hair pasta combo (my personal favorite). Anyone seeking a fun, casual meal at a reasonable price look no further than the Spaghetti Warehouse.

We have lived in Tampa for a number of years but this was the first (and last) time we tried the Spaghetti Warehouse. I had often heard it was kid-friendly and since I have a 9 month old son, it seemed like a safe bet for what we thought would be Olive Garden type quality food. What we got was so awful it made the Olive Garden look like Berns. Our appetizer of stuffed mushrooms was undercooked--like they had just shoved some hunks of fried sausage into raw mushrooms, slapped on some sauce and cheese and put it under the broiler for a moment. The Italian wedding soup tasted (and looked) like Lipton noodle soup with frozen spinach and a few meatballs and chicken chunks thrown in. We waited a long time for the entrees--my son was getting fussy and I was wondering what was taking the kitchen so long. Several times our server (who was actually very nice) came out and appologized and promised that everything was "coming right up." Finally, nearly 45 min after we ordered, we got the entrees and it went from bad to worse. My husband ordered spag and meatballs and asked them to add mushrooms. What came to the table was a nauseating mess of overcooked spaghetti, canned sauce, spongy meatballs and what were obviously canned mushrooms they had barely bothered to heat before they tossed them on top. My sister ordered a chicken mushroom pasta dish and got what looked like overdone spaghetti mixed with cream of mushroom soup and canned mushrooms with a few dry chicken chunks on top. I had ordered the Chicken Marsala with roasted veggies instead of the side of pasta alfredo that usually comes with the meal. I got two dry, hard little pieces of chicken swimming in a lake of what was obviously canned brown gravy and still got the fettichini alfredo but with a few roasted vegetables, drenched in oil, on top. The worst thing was when we looked at the bill. $60.00! I could NOT believe it. For slop they should be ashamed to serve they charged a huge amount. I could have gone to McDonalds and gotten better quality food. Disgusting! I see other, older reviews of this place that seem to have positive things to say. All I can think is that maybe there has been a recent downturn in the quality of the food. I know we're all having hard economic times so maybe the kitchen staff is cutting corners. But there is no excuse for serving such low quality, horrible food and overcharging for it in such a ridiculous manner. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the server was nice. We tipped him well--it wasn't his fault this place is a slop house. But we will NEVER go again. So, a word to the wise--if you're looking for good Italian food and the historic charm of Ybor city go to the Laughing Cat. They are excellent, great service and fabulous food and don't cost much more than the horrible SW. I truely felt robbed by my trip there and would like to prevent anyone else from having a similar experience.

Never again!
By Stephanie, 8/3/06
We have a group of 5 ladies that get together for dinner once a month and this month was at the Spaghetti Warehouse. The server was OK... Two of my friends ordered 12 oz steaks that looked like 4 ounce steaks. I ordered baked pasta that was dry and seemed like it had been re-heated many times. The pasta was still HARD. Not a good experience. We will never return!

Although it was my first time at the Spaghetti Warehouse, my dining experience was wonderful. The staff are fast and friendly. The food was superb and I will definitely return for more.
