Its name may conjure visions of averageness, but the Corner Cafe is anything but average. In fact, they specialize in serving up decidedly kicked-up versions of classic American fare. At brunchtime, try the Neptune Benedict (Eggs Benedict with crab cakes instead of ham), or the French Toast (made from croissants instead of bread). At lunch, choose between the Brie Quesadilla, the Roasted Portabello Sandwich, or the Corner Cafe's hearty take on a traditional cheeseburger. Decision-making can be tough, but you can't wrong.
I really enjoy the food here. The service is usually prompt unless they are slammed and I like the little bar they have. The breakfast specials are truly unique calling on different flavors from around the world. There are more eggs bennidict variations then I have seen in some time, the Munich is really good and one time they had a South American Arapas... so good. I have not eaten there for dinner, but I hear the menu is really good. Also, they have The Anthony, it's like my favorite breakfast combo!
Our first experience with the crew at Corner Cafe was at the Abacoa beer fest 2009. They had 3 brews at the booth. Gnarly Barley was nice. Finally visited the restaurant. Not your typical brew pub. Almost formal in a South Florida kind'a way. The cuban style paella is REALLY good. Get the beer to try all 6 of their beers.
Not only do they have great breakfast and lunch items, their dinners are to die for. Everything from dijon encrusted rack of lamb to a stuffed blue cheese burger. It's elegant food with a casual atmosphere and pricing. Their wine list is wonderful.
