Della's Delectables, Brandon

I have been going to the deli for years. Della's after dark is the best restaurant in Bandon. Especially a romantic dinner. I love their Duck and would recommend this place to anyone. Love the dim environment and the jazz is great!!!

Della's is a special place midst all the sterile chain restaurants. The food is exquisite and the service attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate. On Friday's and weekends at night there is live Jazz entertainment.

Want to get away from Brandon's lame chain-restaurant menus with their lines and lemmings? Della's After Dark is probably the best-kept secret in town. I've dined there twice, now...and the food, service, and ambience has been wonderful both times. This is where to go for a unique, romantic dinner in Brandon. The appetizers are exquisite,and run from about $5-$7 each for a generous portion. The lobster & corn chowder is stellar, and so are the blackened scallops (served in a nest of fried noodles with a mango and port beurre blanc). The crab and shrimp cake appetizer is also perfect (moist and meaty, with just enough breading to hold it together), and not to be missed. Entrees are also creative, generous, and reasonably priced (running from around $12-$18). I've tried the Ginger and Plantain Crusted Grouper as well as the Raspberry Glazed Half Duck...both exquisite, and both for under $20. Della's has a nice wine list, and the markup is reasonable. They also have live, local jazz on Friday and Saturday nights...it's a perfect accompaniment to the meal, and never too loud to converse over (which I hate). We've eperienced outstanding service on both visits, as well...which can be tough to find in this town. I have tried just about every restaurant in Brandon, and this is the best. If you want something different and special, but don't want to drive to Tampa to get it, try Della's.
