Always my first choice when visiting the Boynton/Delray area. Last night was no exception. Ahi Tune rolled in black & white sesame seeds, lightly seared with a shave a pickled gigner and hot wasabi paste. It was served with jasmin rice - ask for extra ginger sauce to flavor the rice. Wonderful!
Snappers has great food (large portions), service and friendly atmosphere! We enjoyed our seafood, waitress, Leigh-Ann, and atmosphere. Would recommend this seafood restaurant to all of our friends.
Excellent. Pricey but beats the places on the US 1 strip in the area in price and quality. Had the Delmonica Steak and it was a great cut prepared well. Wife had oysters form the James River, big and juicy. Our waiter John was first rate
Hey , I was at Snappers on monday evening and witnessed an older man and I assume his wife and son Chastizing a young lady I took to be a manager in the parking lot. The young lady handled herself very well considering all I heard from the others was a lot of profanity and ignorance. My meal was EXCEPTIONAL and our server was excellent.
This weekend my parents and I went to Snapper 's for dinner and had a wonderful experience. There were four of us and we aqll had different things. My dinner was great - it was fish and chips...we're originally from the U.K., and this was authentic, f & c the way we know it....right down to the malt vinegar. The cole slaw was great too....a big bowl full not the little cup like some restaurants serve. My sister had Chicken Alfredo. It was good, too! She likes spicy things, and the chicken was blackened perfectly.
My Mum had Halibut stuffed with creamed spinach. She enjoyed it tremendously and went back on Sunday to order it a second time. Dad had Coconut & Almond shrimp. The flavours were just to Dad's liking.
We will go back again, soon.
My husband and I went to dinner on Dec. 16th, 2009. We had eaten at this restaurant some years ago and I still remembered the wonderful meal. I had a large grilled snapper fillet with a side of cut-up fresh vegetables and great garlic rolls.
We ordered drinks and started off with an order of zucchini sticks sprinkled with Parmesan cheese for $5.95 and it was excellent.
The only snapper on the menu was “Snapper Vera Cruz” baked with a topping of “kalamata olives, capers, plum tomatoes and extra-virgin olive oil” and I ordered this and choose the “garden fresh vegetable” as my side.
My husband ordered the “Shrimply Delicious Combo” for $18.95 which was a combination of baked stuffed shrimp, Shrimp scampi, Cajun shrimp and Coconut & Almond shrimp.
The rolls that came first were awful They were white rolls which looked as if they had been dipped in oil and sprinkled with garlic but they had no garlic taste. Even my husband, a true bread and garlic lover, could not eat them.
My snapper came as a small square thin fillet with a sparse covering of what appeared to be diced canned tomatoes and a scant sprinkling of olives and capers. I took one bite of the fish without the topping and it was so salty, it was inedible. The accompanying vegetable was an unseasoned chunk of broccoli which the cook had not even bothered to cut into pieces. I called to manager to complain and she brushed off the complaint and suggested I have the cedar planked halibut at the same price. She said it was the house specialty.
My husband, who will happily eat almost anything, said his shrimp all tasted the same and none were tasty but he declined to complain or order anything else.
I agreed to have the halibut. It was thick and meaty and tasteless. (Did the cook ever hear of spices and seasonings?). The broccoli had been cut up but was still unseasoned. I took the halibut home and the next day I cooked up some diced tomatoes, canned quartered artichokes, fresh sliced mushrooms and onions and put this over the halibut for a delicious meal. Oh—I should mention that I used seasonings.
We've told all our friends to avoid this restaurant and now I'm telling you.
