Old Florida Seafood House
Simple wood furnishings, a big bar and, most of all, solid, dependable cooking help Old Florida draw loyal diners. You'll find a warm welcome from folks who'll remember you after you've dined here once, and who know their fish. Fresh seafood appears in familiar preparations as lobster Newburg, or fish prepared in a lemony francaise style, sauteed, fried or grilled.
Not sure who wrote the other reviews...BUT.... Let's start with...no, they do not take reservations, they say the price range is 10-20, not true. The average entree price was $19.00 and much higher. There were 4 in our party, 2 had soup they say was average, they other 2 had salads with wilted and brown lettuce in it. The service was very under-par for a restaurant with those prices. When we finally did get our meals, all the twice baked potatoes were over cooked, the veggies were tough(over steamed). The so called oversized portions were much small. I would not return to this restaurant nor would I never suggest anyone to try it.
We enjoy going here for the early birds. I've never had a bad meal there. Always go away with a doggie bag. Atmosphere is very nice and cozy. The shrimp scampi is excellent! Would highly recommend. Never had to wait when we go early. Service always good.
