The food was very good and the view was excellent but many Florida restaurants have a view of the ocean. I enjoyed the salad but thought the place was overpriced, considering the small portions and not very friendly staff. They seemed like they were doing you a favor. I thought it was supposed to be quite the opposite. the seafood is fresh but you sure don't get much for the price.

You are paying for the view. Truely a tourist venue that is rarely visited by locals who see the beach everyday. If you must, only go for lunch when you can actually see the ocean. At night it is just black ink.
I think I read recently that it has been sold to a condo developer, but then again so has everything else around here.
Eat There Every Time We Are in Lauderdale by the Sea

This is a wonderful spot to ejoy a great food. We are from Michigan and each trip to the area we plan one meal here. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service is some of the best we have ever had in food service. No rush and very many and good choices on the menu. Thanks for being there.
After eating there once before which was ok,
I thought I would take my whole family,,well that was a mistake, meat was overcooked-then when it came back it was RAW-on top of that the waitress was very nasty. Instead of an apology she said thats how they cook it, some of the entrees were also missing the side dishes. As far as the seafood goes it was good, with very little portions...but that kind of food is at any fairly decent restaurant in so. florida.
I have been going here for many years. I always love to visit and enjoy seeing the ocean and looking at the photo's on the walls. The sea food is so good and I love to bring friends. None of my friends has ever complained about the experience and usually want to return as soon as they can.
