Description

Marvel as agile warriors and beautiful maidens perform dances from the South pacific while you are dining on tropical dishes and exotic drinks from an award winning menu. The Mai-Kai authentically recreates a Polynesian Village complete with tiki torches, a thatch roof, tropical gardens with an orchid collection, giant tiki sculptures, lagoons and waterfalls. This is a perfect place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or to get married at. The Mai-Kai is home for the nation's longest running Polynesian Dance Revue. Since the Mai-Kai opened in 1956 the restaurant has received considerable acclaim including Best Dining Entertainment, Best Unique Dining Experience and recognized by Restaurants and Institutions as one of Americas Top 100 Independent Restaurants. There is an additional charge of $10.95/person to see the show. There is no charge for children 12 and under to see the show.

THE PERFORMANCE WAS REALLY GREAT... THE ONLY ISSUE WAS THE FOOD AND FOOD SERVICE WAS NOT TOO GOOD. KIND OF EXPENSIVE BUT THE ATMOSPHERE AND PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!

OVERPRICED,TOURIST TRAP-ANY WOMAN THAT WANTS TO EAT THERE IS A GOLD DIGGER,END IT.BAD FOOD,MERCHANDISING EVERYTHING FROM T SHIRTS TO $10 CUPS

THE FOOD ISN'T THAT GREAT! HAD WONTON SOUP AND IT WAS BLAND LIQUID WITH A FLOATING NOODLE AND WATER CHESTNUTS. THE PUPU PLATTER WAS DECENT BUT HAD BETTER , MY WIFE'S PAD THAO WAS GOOD, BUT MY RIBS WERE TOUGH AND DRY. THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS GOOD BUT NOT AS GOOD AS BACK IN THE ISLANDS. EXTREMELY DARK INSIDE AND DIDN'T SEE WHAT ALL THE HYPE WAS ALL ABOUT. I RECOMMEND THE SHOW, BUT EAT BEFORE YOU GO THERE.

Fantastic dining experience all the way! Great service, delicious meal, beautiful gardens and vintage tiki decor & reasonable prices~ best of all, fantastic dinner show! There should be more places like this still in operation, instead of crappy franchises.

This restaurant is amazing! It's like a little piece of the islands in the middle of the city! The valet was quick and very polite, and once you pull into the property, it's like you have left Ft. Lauderdale and have arrived in Tahiti. The decorations and the ambiance were absolutely breathtaking! The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food...the food was DELICIOUS!! We had a pupu platter and peanut chicken and it was some of the best chicken I ever had! The show was amazing...it was an hour long! The dancers and musicians looked like they were actually having fun! The costumes were so authentic and the explanation of all the dances was really neat! We had an absolute blast and we will definitely be back!!

Show was entertaining and the atmosphere was great, but the prices were outrageous for both quality and portion size. I had the pineapple chicken and it left me wishing that I had ordered an appetizer; portion size must have been 8 to 10 oz. I dont mind paying for quality or quantity but the food left something to be desired for the price, my entree was pretty similar to Lean Cuisine Polynesian Chicken.

Food is not good. Would go back but just for the entertainment and goddy decor. The drinks were not what I expected at all, they are pre-made so no adjusting them. Heard so many great things from my Mom 30 years ago but I guess they have gone down hill since. I would give them a second chance with very low expectations.

Terrible food. You can get better food at a wedding. Show is good. Purely a tourest trap. Too expensive for the quality you get.

THE FOOD WAS OK RICE WAS DRY, CHEESECAKE WAS DRY TO. NO REFILL ON SOFTDRINKS $3.00 FOR ONE SODA THE SHOW WAS VERY ENTERTAINING. THE GARDEN WAS CLOSED DO TO THE RAIN VERY DISAPPOINTED.

My New Favorite Happy-Hours! 5-7 50% off drinks & Apps! you cankt beat that deal with a stick! I enjoys going on Wednesday nights to take advantage of the complementary sushi and enjoy some live music. All of this and I didn't even mention the dinner show! A tour of the polnessian islands in traditional dance. I had so much fun!
