This is a wonderful place. They made our celebration memorable. Marco and his staff, especially Chris were amazing. We felt at home and the respect treatment was wonderful. The food was so delicious that we hardly can walk out of there. The wines were also wonderful;. Everything was great. Thank you guys!
I just went there tonight with an italian friend. With both of us being of italian descent coupled with the reviews stated on here, we were expecting to be blown away by the food. We had the risotto with seafood and veal piccata. Based on the price, we expected larger portions but this would have been ok had the food left us with any impression. We did not dislike the food, but neither dish was memorable. I would not go to the restaurant again. I gave 3 stars solely because the food was not poor.
Not only is this THE best Italian Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, but Marco and his staff are warm and friendly. I have been going here for 12 years and recently had Cafe Vico cater a party. Needless to say, mt guests STILL talk about it.
Hands down, I highly recommend CAFE VICO!
This is a wonderful restaurant.
Great wine selection. The only thing I was bummed about was that they don't have a liquor bar, just wine and beer but everything else totally made up for it.
I would go here again DEF!!!! :)
Awesome!!! The food is excellent and the service is even better. This is my wife's and I favorite restaurant... Doesnt look like much on the outside but you will see and feel the difference when you go inside...
When you enter the Cafe, men are greeted with a handshake and ladies with a kiss on the hand. Many of the people who work there are related to the owner and follow his guidance. The staff are excellent who if asked will guide you to good wines and menu selection. We dine there frequently and much prefer it to Casa D'Angelo, which is right down the street. The pasta dishes (ravioli stuffed with lobster as well as some other combinations) are top rate. The veal dishes are excellent. And the marina sauce is amongst the best served in Fort Lauderdale. My Italian mother would have approved! Definitely worth a visit.
The food was great. I had a seafood ravioli in a vodka sauce for my main entree that was prepared excellently. I had a house salad with a balsamic vinegarette which was standard faire for the most part, but I enjoyed it. The complimentary rolls come with a garlic, herb and oil dipping sauce. The wine selection was good for my limited knowledge. I had a chianti of which I didn't even ask the name. The service was attentive and cordial. The place was emptied out however because of the superbowl, so I can't vouch for a normal night. The price was about average but not unrealistic, so if you are in the mood for a little something different it's worth the extra price.
