My husband went there yesterday after attending the Las Olas Art Fair. We had not been there in some time. I can't tell you how disappointed I was. We sat at the bar, the servers, there were two, ignored us. My husband ordered a cobb salad with chicken, they brought out the chickn after he began eating the salad. I ordered a hummus plate, I did not like it nor did I eat it. the servers were busy toasting friends that came in off a boat. There was no attenion given to us, we had to raise our hand to have the server bring another drink and water. Neither of them asked if the food was ok. Rating extremely bad. I will never go back or recomend to others.
Just Awful. This place goes through so many changes. For a year or so they had a new GM and it was on track. Now, he's gone and its back to be awful. Food, cleanliness, service. Don't waste your money.
Place is nice but what is up with the bathroom attendants begging for tips. With the prices that Shooters charges they should just pay someone a decent wage to clean the bathrooms. The bathrooms smell like cheap perfume. Makes me wonder if they pay any of their staff a decent wage and provide healthcare benefits.
I loved the atmosphere and the drink specials. Our waitress, Denean, was extremely busy but took the time to help us choose a fantastic meal. The view can not be beat. I had a great time and will return next time I am in lovely Fort Lauderdale.
I went to Shooters to specifically try their sushi and it was surprisingly ok...I mean not as great as specialized sushi restaurants but the sushi chef was very considerable and nice! He let me choose the fish i wanted for an appetizer of 6 peices of sushi! I had the eel, the crab and the salmon and the salmon and eel were incredible! I think it's just a great place for people to go to mix american bar with sushi. Especially if you have to bring along the non-sushi eaters...then they have something else to choose from that's not raw or seafood.
I used to enjoy pulling up the boat or going to happy hour at Shooters for years. It is just not the same. After my last visit, I will never return. The food is good, but there is nothing different about their menu, which means I can find good seafood at many other places with a better attitude. The service by our actual server was good, but the hostess and another server were rude and insulting to our large party. No managers stepped in to apologize or attempt to organize anything. The girls were mouthy and offensive and overheard all night complaining about us taking up too many tables. We were 25 people or more so I am not sure what the problem was. This was a goodbye party to someone and it ruined it. It was the most unpleasant and uncomfortable nights out in my life and I will never return.
Shooter's has a fantastic location - their happy hour is definitely worth it - 1/2 price drinks and 1/2 price appetizers at the bar. It's relaxing and enjoyable with a colorful, young, energetic staff, I would definitely recommend trying it, at least once. Very easy to reach via water taxi - which is a trip in and of itself!
I really enjoy shooters. From the first time I went there with my parents for Mothers Day brunch a few years ago I have enjoyed going there since.Parking can get expensive but the price is worth it. They have great food and the view of the intercoastal is great. You can watch boats go buy as you eat fanastic food. The service is always great and everyone I know loves going there becouase it is romantic. The food is moderatly price and they also have a full bar. You will enjoy Shooters if you like seafood, the water, and options. I hope this review helped and I still can't wait to go back..
