Primanti Brothers Pizza Grill, Fort Lauderdale

FOOD WAS VERY GOOD NOTHING LIKE I EVERY HAD A GREAT SURPRISE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

i found out about theis wonderful place with my best girlfriend years ago... then i meet my husband, and he is from Pittsburgh, well i kept hearing about these sandwiches, and when i took him there for a date, he freaked out, he had no idea that there was one in fort lauderdale, and now they are opening one off of university and sunrise... i have to say, the one on the beach is way better then the one off of oakland park, that one is kinda bad, the food bad and the people arent true pitts people...

After years of seeing the original restaurant featured on the travel channel...and salivating over the sandwiches..I made a pilgrimage to the Ft. Lauderdale restaurant. The place does not dissapoint...the sandwich is everything I had hoped for and more. This is the kind of funky neighborhood joint that is perfect for any time of day. If you are looking for some sterile, chain pizzaria, this is not for you. The place and the neighborhood has color and charm of it's own, not to mention 5 tatoo parlors within walking distance. We all had the pitts-burger...hot steamy greasy, loaded with the signature fries and cabbage slaw on thick italian bread....the best part is the place is open 24/7...if you ever crave the best sandwich in the world...it is the place to go!!

The shirts say "bite me" and that was the attitude I got...I have just come from this restaurant & must say it was the worst eating out experience of my life! The gentleman who was "waiting" on me took over 10 minutes to acknowledge me, did not fully explain what all the topping on the pittsburger meant (coleslaw and fries right on the burger) and then did not acknowledge me... I waited over fifteen minutes for a water refill to eat my meal, as well as a fork when I separated my coleslaw. Then he ignored me, so I eventually had to ask another waitress for my bill... Again, when I was ready to pay, I was ignored for another twenty minutes and had to bring my own bill up to the register... It is one thing to hire foreigners, but make sure they can speak English enough to describe the order and follow thru... and if they do mess up, a smile and customer service is better than ignoring an already upset customer.. I grew up in the restaurant industry, my parents building one when I was in grade school. Never have I written anything to anybody about a bad experience, but tonights was downright dreadful, rude, and overall the worst part of my vacation to Florida. Never mind that the food was not that good... What a waste of my time and money!

After a long exhausting flight, lost luggage, and a crappy hotel stay, my son & I found this little pizza joint. It was absolutley hands down the best pizza we had both ever had. The people were very friendly, the portions LARGE and very reasonably priced. My husband and I are taking a cruise from Miami in the fall and we are renting a car and I am driving him here so I can have the pizza again (this time w/a beer!)

This place is a total win! My friends and I try and make this our Friday ritual :) You can see them make your pizza and know exactly what gets put into it. The staff is amazing, really nice down to earth friendly people. I recommend this place to anyone!

Just very good stuff

What can I say, I liked the pizza! I said Ummm as I ate. When you walk in you see the guy making the dough. Its one of those little places just on the corner. The people are making things behind the counter. The cook and I talked about how good his pizza sauce as he was stirring in the fresh tomatoes. The cheese is very yummy. We are vegetarians and it was nice to see all the veggies we could get. The guy waiting on us was nice and he spoke well of his boss and his wife that work there too. Its the best of atmospheres!

close enough to NY style pizza. one of the best in south florida but still room for some improvement. def. recommend

Excellent pizza, great service and nice cold beer. I hope it doesn't become too packed once the word gets out...
