Well, itac2s all in the secret homemade basting sauce and the Blackjack Oak we used to grill our meats, that imparts that oooh sooo sweet, fallinac2-apart succulent smokiness to every bite! You canac2t go wrong with any of our platters, but we have earned our reputation with those achingly tender, off-the-bone, meaty Ribs. They are truly to die for, in a good way of course! In fact, the bare bones are all that will remain on your plate!
We had a great time there it is worth the drive. We thought the food was delicious and will be out there again soon. We liked the fact that the kitchen is visible to the public and you can see the pit. Yum.
This resturant should be rename to THE PITS, because thats what it is. A very disappointing experience, love my BBQ and having spent a lot of time in Texas like to think I know what good BBQ is about, sadly these guys dont. Tough tired meat lacking in flavour served up in a grubby and eqully tired atmposhere. One to skip....
you order at one window and get a number...the other window is where you pick up your order...the place is in shambles...looks and is a real dive...but the ribs are to die for...have eaten there for over 20 yrs...the turnover of the food is unreal...people come from miles around to eat here
