There is nothing negative to say about El Tropico, the food is divine, The Mojitos the best in Miami, wow and the live music is wonderful to dance too...I highly recommend you go and check it out for yourself.....
We were in Miami for Superbowl 2010 and stayed at a hotel nearby this restaurant. The hotel recommended it. Not too touristy and more local. It was outstanding. The Mojito's were excellent. Yes, they actually put liquor in the drinks! The food and coffee was great. (Pork esp.) The staff was fun and friendly. The clientel was fun. They even danced w/ our daughter who is 22. The music and singing was great fun. Would definately go back.
Excellent food! Terrific Service! Ask for Pedro, the owner, he'll treat you like a king.
Live music, Friday night (kariokee), 7:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. by Domingo, the salsero of El Tropico, and maestro Roberto Elias singing boleros; and a fantastic singer on Saturday nights (reservation suggested), Jazmin, from 8:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.
We love it!
