Larios on the Beach
Join us at Larios on the Beach pop-up at the Cardozo Hotel. 1300 Ocean Drive Miami Beach, FL 33139 Larios on the Beach opened in 1992 where the essence of Old Cuba is masterly captivated by the exotic decor, portraying its 1950's Glory Days. We feature traditional Cuban fare, celebrated classic & flavored mojitos and a magnificent view as you dine along South Beach's famous Ocean Drive. This exclusive location has become a must during your vacation on South Beach. At Larios on the Beach the rhythm never tasted so good!
Lousy Food and Service!!!!! Waiter couldn't even manage a smile when he had the cheek to charge 17% gratuity to a meal that was completely disgusting! I ordered the roast chicken which comes with a sauce - the chicken was so over dried it was difficult to cut through, it came off in chunks and the sauce was nothing more than GREASE with a bit of red stuff thrown on top!! I feel sick at the thought of it!!!! -and to top it off - we were hounded by people selling goods on the street throughout the experience. - Dont bother !!!!
Called to make reservations and was told they have their own parking lot.
It took us 1 hour to drive 10 blocks. ( Not the restaurant's fault)
When we got there, was told there was no parking left. A pretty young woman in our party pleaded with the young man and he agreed to park our car for $30. What a rip.
Seated us next to a table of druken, loud, swearing customers. We asked to be moved and found a table outside on our own.
The food was not good. Infact one person ordered a shrimp dish that smelld spoiled and he sent it back. A real tourist trap. DON'T GO. Shame on Gloria Estafan!
Just because unfortunately you got stuck with a rude waitress that is not to blame the establishment as a whole and pick apart the entire menu, if your waitress was Ms. Attitude then I believe you are Ms. Nit-picky ....Larios on the Beach has a great atmosphere and the food is excellent. If you want to taste traditional cuban food that's the place to go. And their flan de queso is mouth watering!
We had the rudest waitress imaginable. She had such an attitude and proceeded to tell us that the tables are only for people who are ordering from the full menu. I guess two rounds of drinks and appetizers weren
We were seated in the patio area and not told that seating was available inside.
We enjoyed the the lunch selections and really enjoyed the Mojitos that we had while seated at the bar inside after we were done with lunch. Definately a place I plan on visiting again.
I REALLY liked this place. As a Cuban-American, I have to say that this restaurant is the most authentic of it's kind in Florida. While you wait in the lobby great salsa tunes flow from the speakers near the bar. The atmosphere is purely latin and I feel most at home in this haven on Ocean Drive. No trip to Miami Beach would be complete unless you make it here for the Arroz con Pollo y Plantanos y sopas de frijoles negros.
The food was the bomb-digity,more specific the delicious crab fritters. Fasicous!! Also, it was really cool eating in a place that was owned by the legendary singer Gloria Estefan. I can't wait to go back for antoher visit!
