Emeril's Miami Beach restaurant is an amazing experience.
My husband and I went for a nice evening and it was absolutley beautiful, the food was
great the waitstaff was patient, and helpful. I would recommend any one to visit....Trust me its worth it!
The service at Emeril's was the the most disappointing experience I have had at any type of restaurant in some time. Although we had three waiters, none of them seem to really know what was going on. Appetizer arrived as ordered before our entree order had been taken. As a result we were forced to hold the large menus on our lap while we dined due to no table space.
Also, there was a rather lengthly wine list of 50+ pages- however we found the waiter unable to provide more then one recommendation!
For the dinner each of two couples ordered scallops and steak. The steak was tasty, but arrived 5 minutes before the scallops. When the scallops arrived they were cooked, but cold. When this was noted to the waiter, he took them back and instead of remaking the order - the scallops were reheated - as anyone knows cannot be done without them being chewy and ruined.
We canceled our remaining order and left the restaurant, severely disappointed with Emerils. Initially no compensation for our ruined dining experience was offerred and when the manager was called for, he said he would remove our bottled water.
My husband and I celebrated our 3rd Annyversary on Dec 16, 2006 wow what a night. The service was so wonderful and the food is awesome. We got everything that my husband asked for. I have been there before and I will keep going back. The service and the food is all worth it. We do not mind spending the money... We love it and would recommend it A+ Service and food.
I went to Emeril's at the Loew's hotel during the Miami Spice event. The Miami Spice event is when several 4 and 5 star restaurants in Miami lower their prices for about a month. I found the atmosphere to be ok and the food wasn't what I expected...I guess I expected that Emeril like quality in the food and I got more of a generic feel from the food. Service is great, but there are better experiences to be had on Miami Beach.
Lamb chops were done to perfection and on a bed of way too much goat cheese, which also smothered the carrots. Sauce was thick to my liking. Two 1/4 stemfulls of Valpolcellia (sp)- $30.00. Waiter kept delivering the next table's food to us, including dessert. We laughed, they were not happy. We dined on the deck and it was lovely. We'd stopped in the morning for reservations and asked that Chelsea have a piece of cake with a candle, as she was leaving the next day for Ecuador. We ended up with bananna ice cream.
The food, as in all of Emeril's restaurants, is incredible. The service is attentive without being pushy. A money saving tip is to go for lunch. The food is of the same quality, but the prices are lower. I would recommend this to anyone!
