well lets just say that i rarely eat out but when i di i like to go to a very recumended place as the crab house was, I did have a very good and profesinal waitress Nadia that took very good care of me and the ather table's around me, i noticed that theywere also happy with her service but i also heard and feel the same way that the food and ather imployee's were not nearly as pleasant as she was... I did ask for the GM to give my prase about the service but he acted as thoe it was a hassle for him to be talking to me or any of the ather peaple in the restorant (juan corlos) i beleave is his name. does not belong in the biz at all.this place needs better management starting from the top down. I have noticed there were two on duty that night and one stayed up front flirting with the hostice and not doing his responsabilty.
I have also watched one of the server's deal drugs at his table, that i should have called the law for but decided not to get involved... If this is a corp. you need to go in there and clean house, starting from the top down. you do not desurve any stars for the food but for the survice i do give one star.
Where do I begin, The prices were outrageous, the food was greasy, the waiter was lost, The Buffet looked old, I spent $65 for a horrible meal, should've gone to red lobster... Dont waste your time or money...
My husband and I live in the Midwest and love to find fresh seafood when we travel. We got to the Crab House around 9pm and had to wait 30 minutes for outdoor seating. They recommend their seafood buffet, which we walked by when we came in and it looked very average. We were surprised to see a lot of empty tables outside but we had had to wait because they were all full of dirty dishes that no one was taking care of. Our table had crumbs and streaks of food on it, the dishes we got for our appetizer were still wet and not completely clean. At the point we ordered our entree, we kind of knew what to expect, but it was so late and we were hungry, so we split an entree. We got halibut that was supposed to have a parmesan crust that we couldn't find. Entrees are around $18-25. The sour dough bread served as an appetizer was very good and we had to guess was brought in frozen and baked there.
This place has potential - it's on the water with plenty of customers eating there. This restaurant is kind of like Red Lobster in quality and clientele. For a night out, I'd prefer McCormick and Schmick over this. At M&S at least quality is consistent, it's clean and the wait staff acts like they care.
This place has the best seafood in town. I am a seafood lover and I have never tasted any seafood as fresh as the Crab House. The funny thing is the freshness of the food is consistent its not like it was better this time or last time its fantastic everytime.
