The menu at Puerto Sagua lists every imaginable meat, chicken, and seafood dish and is authentic Cuban for unbelievably reasonable prices. Specialties such as breaded yellowtail and sauteed chicken livers are tasty and inexpensive; the black beans and buttery rice are heavenly. While the atmosphere is somewhat nondescript, the service is friendly and efficient. This restaurant is never hectic, but always pleasantly busy. It is a favorite with locals and visitors and a great place for breakfast.
I asked several hotel employees on Ocean Drive where do they go to eat lunch or dinner and everyone of them said one short block away; Puerto Sagua in South Beach Miami. The food is great and like home cooking, large portions, friendly wait staff and very reasonable prices. Although I like to try many places to eat when on vacation I did make it a point to go back at least once a day for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack. They have in dining tables, counter seating and carryouts. If you suffer from too much partying and have a hangover the chicken soup will help you recover.I can testify to that.

We went tothis Cuban place on the front desk ladies word of mouth. We walked to this place at like 10pm on South Beach and it was packed. The place was cramped, small and maybe a little dirty. But the food, Ambiance and service well made up for it. The food was absolutley the best food i've ever had let alone the best cuban food. The place was crowded but intimate. Its definently a place I would go again if I'm ever in Miami-South Beach
This place on Collins in the heart of South BEach has been here for over 20 years. Yes even back during the Scarface days, so it's staying power means it's pretty good. If you want hardcore Cuban Cuisine probably Little Havana would be your best bet, but if you want to take a stroll after a big meal, this place is pretty good, I usually go for the Boliche and black beans.
We were given two recommendations for good Cuban - Larios and Puerto Sagua. If you really want true Cuban food without all the glamour and high prices, this is the place to go. Fantastic service, amazing food and cheap. Only a few blocks from Larios and worth the walk. Try #1 and #62!
