Guayacan serves ever-more-popular Nicaraguan favorites in a comfortable environment. The crowd is low-key, so you do not need to worry about impressing any on-lookers. Particularly noteworthy are the sopas, which are unlike what is found in most Nicaraguan restaurants in town. They change daily. pescada a la tipitapa (red snapper deep-fried whole and drenched in a sauce of onions and peppers) is excellent. Located in Little Havana, this is a quaintly cozy spot.
Great ambience. Not to sure of price tho. A little pricey for the location. Typical Carne Asada plate is over $10.00. Not a mom's and pops place. Go to Selva Negra for better service and better food.
This place used to be good before but after it went through renovations price went up as well. You dont get the same family groups as you used to. Over all I rate this place a 4 including ambience.
The service was outstanding. The food was delicious and plentiful. The four of us had four to go boxes and we were stuffed. I can't say enough good things about Guayacan. I only wish there was one in Dallas.
the food is exquisite... every dish has a very different taste. you DONT have to be nicaraguan to enjoy this food. you can taste every element in the food. the service is great. the location is fancy. i love it! everyone i have invited likes it!! please go!!!!
