Peppy's in the Gables, Miami

My wife and I have been here several times and always have a great time. The owner really looks after you and serve up delicious items. I recommend giving this place a try.

This restaurant was absolutely excellent. I went here for valentine's day with my girlfriend and it was the perfect little setting. The man doing the music was a little cheesy, but it was still a great time. The food is fantastic and I would highly recommend the lobster bisque ravioli. Highly, highly recommend. If you're looking for somewhere not too expensive but still great to go, this is it.

This is one of the best restaurant in Miami.The food is great, the ambiance is super romantic and there is a very good special going on for just $20. It does not get better than that!

This place is amazing ,I went with my date yesterday and was the best choice that I could make,my fiance got a glance for her son and he told us that he got a good time,He was right the ambience was very romantic,the cozy little house was like a castle for us,food was divine, wine selection excelent,we were very please ,we will come back soon,keep the good work and thanks for all the attention .

My husband and I stopped at this restaurant because we were close by and were somewhat perplexed by the food. The restaurant ambience was great; dimmed old time lights. It felt romantic. The service was very good. There was a man playing a guitar in the background and I thought we won the lottery with this restaurant. The bread was warm and excellent; brought out with roasted garlic, olive oil with mint leaves, and tasty black and green olives that were heavenly. For appetizer we ordered the chef's special Tuscan Scallops that were fabulous done over italian toasted bread and topped with tomatoes in a great sause; cna't say enough of this appertizer I wish we would of ordered more. Then, we order our entrees and what a flop. I ordered Saltimbocca with chicken and pasta to accompanied it. I have tried better sauces from a jar; that's how bad this one was. My husband ordered Veal Marsala and it was as bad as mine (actually my husband and I argue all night about who's was worst). My husband's guess is that the chef was not working that night. We couldn't eat our plate and just happened that I had seen a plate pass me by to the back table earlier and saw it go back to the kitchen barely eaten. I don't know what happened there but I can take a guess. The restaurant got full after we came and I thought that if this much people came to this place that maybe this place was not going to be that bad; how wrong can one be. I usually try to read reviews before going anywhere but we wanted to be spontaneus and it didn't work this time. Discontented but not discouraged; we'll try other restaurants.

Wow, Peppy's used to be our favorite restaurant, for anniversary's, Valentine's Day, etc. We live in the next county so it was always a treat to go there. We went this past Saturday to celebrate our wedding anniversary and expected a wonderful experience as usual. What a disappointment. First, we thought it was odd when we pulled up and only saw a couple of cars outside. Then, we walked in and instead of the usual buzz of people and the phone ringing, there were only 3 tables with elderly people and no one greeted us at the door as usual. Undaunted, we ordered our meal. The bread they brought to the table seemed stale and they didn't bring the usual roasted garlic spread as they always have. The appetizer took a minute to bring out so obviously it was nuked. We both ordered pasta dishes and the pasta was so undercooked that my husband left most of it. His salmon was very delicious however. The service was lacking as well. All in all, I think we won't be back. I would not recommend this restaurant any more.

I have been visiting Peppy's now for about 6 years. I have become friends with the waiters and the Chef. This is a very personalized little restaurant. You get a lot of personal attention. Peppy's has some of the greatest northern Italian cooking around. I am happy to say that it is my favorite place to go for a good meal.

My name is Sam J. and I live just a few blocks away from Peppy's. I am a regular customer and I have not once had a bad experience at Peppy's. The people are great (there is a cool waiter named Chico that looked after me a few times thats a great host) The food is beyond amazing. The chef once prepared a cake by the name of Love Cake. Let me tell you that if the waiter ever offers this as a desert option, TAKE IT!. I have tried just about every dish they offer and the quality in the products is amazing. It is a bit hard to find but once you visit that place I promise you will never forget where it is again.

Peppy's has the best selection of entree's and I guarantee whatever you choose, you will love. Truly an authentic Italian restaurant.
