Had not been there since the new management took overâ¦..so decided to give it a tryâ¦I am a Spaniard always searching for new culinary experiences with the taste of Spain..
Unfortunately, in this restaurant the only thing with the taste of Spain is Juan de Albaâ¦â¦the food is so remotely similar to the food of Spain that you could serve in Mongolia as dishes from Spain and they would sarcastically smileâ¦
It was simply bad, the knowledge of the cook (must have learnt cooking from a crash-course at Mc Donald) is so limited, asked for Octopus and served squid (Chinese giant squid)â¦.the "fresh" boquerones en Vinagre (fresh pickled anchovies), must have been from the left over from the last supper of Lola Flores (que en paz descanse)..
The jamon and manchego cheesse, supposedly for 2, was cut so thinâ¦.no exaggerations, you could see troughâ¦and the final touch was the priceâ¦what can I say about the price!!!it was so pricey I felt I had been in Casa Botin in Madridâ¦not in Casa Panza en Calle ochoâ¦
Still had a good laugh..
Please do not go, unless you go to see Juan and his flamenco
