By the time we found Garcia's I needed a drink. I loved seating myself but didn't go with my first instinct... to sit at the older waiter's section. Our waiter wasn't warm or exciting. He never asked how we were doing? Or did we enjoyed our meal. It was our first time and would have loved to be told about the specials and MO of the place. First, three small containers were dropped off, that looked like a sponge to clean one's fingers. It was a nice, crab slaw that went with the basket saltines that sat on each table.
Our calamari app. was dropped off with no utensils. Then, before we can dig in, our entrees arrived. We asked our waiter for our flatware and waited (seems like hours)two to four mins. when he brought our sides and had to remind him again. The food was ok, the grilling process used made the fish a little dry(overcooked). Also, it sat under the warming light and at the table waiting for utensils!!! We had "Willie" and Salmon with Tamarind sauce... not very creative, or with theme winning presentation. Pricing was fair for seafood.
We sat on the patio, wery rustic and cozy and gets filty with saltine wrappers and napkins blowing. As a matter of time passing, you can slide the wrappers in the crevices of the table to prevent them from flying away. Also, old crumbs were in the crevices.
I will have to go back when next in town before I pass final judgement. But it seems to be a nice place with locals.
Ah!yes,at the end of our meal, as a bus boy came down the ramp to the seating area, all the basins, filled with plates came crashing down.
