Seven Fish, Key West

We don't recommend Seven Fishes and we are experienced Key West restaurant goers. It's very crowded and noisy, difficult to have a conversation. You are rushed, as if they need to turn over the table, so an expensive two-course meal is 'done' in one hour. My mahi mahi was dry, the tostitos with my husband's salsa tasted as if they were from a package, the pasta served with my husband's tuna was heavy, glutinous tasting, and my vegetables (broccoli, carrots) were steamed, watery and tasteless. For the money, there are far better places to eat in Key West.

I Love,Love, Love this place! Yes, it is small and yes you need reservations, but the food is absolutely amazing. They have 3 fresh local fish every night, and they are all amazing! I have been several times, and it's alwas great.Can not think of a better restaurant in Key West.

Where do we begin? First, it's a concrete room with 'kitchen table' furniture. Loud. NO ambiance. The menu is unimaginative. Fish was dry. Sides? Huh? Awful. Food is overpriced for what it is. Quality is questionable. And THEN, when we were still finishing our bottle of wine they had the nerve to ask us to leave because they wanted to seat other customers!!!! The way I see it, lack of planning and greed on their part should not mean that we are evicted after paying over $500 for a meal for our group. Never, EVER EVER go there!

it was great we have dinner 3 times each year and the food is great and servise is great old key west love it dont tell every one if some dont like it .it ok more room for us i cant wate till next week i am going a on feb 14 and can t wate see ya soon

Very disappointed! Food and drink over priced. Very dull room not romantic at all! Loved Key West and would not waste my time here because there are numerous wonderful resturants to visit

The place is cute, but tiny. The menu short, but interesting. Not all the fish on the menu is local. Only 3 local fish when we went--all of which had seeds or nuts in them, and I'm allergic. They couldn't prepare snapper dishes w/o seeds. In the end I had a fish I didn't want, which was very lightly flavored, with plain boiled veggies over sauceless boiled pasta. My hubby said his food was great. Mine? Tasteless. Not for those with allergies.

perhaps tops for the keys, it would be one of those establishments that prepares fresh food (esp fish - yellowtail snapper & pompano & grouper) competently, then places them with average veges, starches, and would end up lost in your memory, blending with all those other non special but very good places you've eaten

One of the top seafood restaurants in Key West, portions small and prices high but that is what you get with a high class restaurant. Food is wonderful! Try the mahi mahi rolls

If the 2 bullet holes in the main window arent adequate warning then the $29 gritty rubbery scallops in a PILE of slimy mash potatoes will be! To add insult to palate injury our waitress spilt overpriced Shiraz on my lap & didnt even notice perhaps because of the lack of lighting & the deafening noise of the other 29 people (max capacity). Talking to the manager is a waste of time unless you like people with an insulting condescending attitude.

TERRIFIC food, well priced, never disappointed by this small neighborhood gem. Make a reservation...best value in Key West.
