I just don t get all the hype about this place. We went there for a late lunch, service and ambiance were okay, nothing to rave about. The lobster melt was mostly bread, little lobster served with about 1/2 c of unseasoned slaw, $19. The chicken salad was ok, but again nothing exciting that any run of the mill restaurant serves. Waste of time and money.

In a class by itself. The food may seem expensive, but you get what what you pay for. Ambiance, service and presentation were a classy experience. Delightful. A don t miss experience!

We ran into an acquaintance who told us to eat at Blue Heaven. It was to die for.. Breakfast was wonderful, 3 in our group had what we would call a normal breakfast and the price was comparable to what we spent at Denny's- not expensive and a much more upscale meal. Bread was loved by all. I had a more costly meal that was so worth it- Eggs Benedict with lobster and asparagus, it was perfect. Our group loved the food so much we went back at night. Snapper, Grouper and Jerk Chicken .. all meals were perfect and a great value for the quality. The food was excellent. (We are not animal lovers so the atmosphere was interesting but quirky enough that we didn't mind the chickens, cats and dogs.) We had a beautiful night for a late dinner outside.

The best thing about Blue Heaven is the pretty atmosphere. The menu did not have many choices and it was expensive. I don't think I'd go back.

Amazing! Great food, everything was cooked perfectly. The place has such charm. since the wait is long, there is a great waiting area with a bar, chairs to listen to the band, and a place to play ping pong. Like a backyard BBQ, but much better... pricy, but worth it. A hidden gem!

We only ate dessert (key lime pie) at Blue Heaven...I apologize...'only' shouldn't even be said in the same sentence as that Key Lime Pie. We were expecting something good because we had actually been told by two waiters at another restaurant that 'if you want the best key lime pie, you should go to Blue Heaven'! When another restaurant's waiters think that the competition has the 'best anything' that says a lot. When the work of art (the pie) was delivered to our table, we gasped - then tasted - then gasped again...we had surely found the Best Key Lime Pie! On our next visit to Key West, we plan on sampling the rest of the menu but maybe we'll have another piece of pie first!

I assume this is what Key West should be. Funky locale outside the hustle and bustle of Duval St. Breakfast is pretty good. The trashy surroundings are what make the place special. They seem to have only one kind of cheese - Vermont cheddar, but it's not bad at all. Banana cake also not bad. It's a must go breakfast place if you're a tourist in The Conch Republic.
