Gianni's Italian Restaurant, Pompano Beach

My wife and I eat out at least three out of the seven days per week. Being locals to the area we frequent every resturant around from Fort Lauderdale to Boca, along the US1/A1A corridor. We went to Gianni s for the first time last night, and I can ASSURE you it will be the LAST! While we were not searching for any kind of night life, since thier demographics is an ageing one, and the decor is from probably the day it opened (many years ago) we knew it was an old Pompano landmark. My dinner order which was one of the Chef s Special Snapper Ogregenatto(?) looked raw when it came out. I asked the waiter to recook and came to find out it was just a bad looking piece of fish (my wife s remark was that it looked like bait with bread crumbs. The waiter (who was very nice) tried to ge the Manager to remove the order from the bill since I did not eat one bite, and was TOLD NO had to pay $27.99..........Needless to say, we paid, will NEVER RETURN, and will advise every single local person I come in contact with to stay away.....My gut feeling is that the resturant is a dying bread with the redevelopment of the area!!!!!! Had to give it a star to be able to post otherwise, they would get a negative star......

Went there for lunch, the bread was my favorite EVER! And thats saying a lot but you really got to love garlic like I do for it to be your thing. Also the salad was very good and like nothing I had ever had before. I was pleasantly surprised. Our meals were very good, the waiter was great and the cannolies were the closest to my Aunt Michelles that I have ever had at a restaurant and were absolutely amazing.

Gianni's is The # 1 Resturant around. Veal, Pasta, wine, Garlic rolls, Greens, All just Delicious. The reason why it is always so delicious.!!! Ciro run's a perfect show with all the help. Thanks Ciro for doing a Great job. 5 Star Place. Russ

Gordon Ramsey would be very proud of this place if he went , he would find nothing wrong with it. We loved it and would eat there again, if we lived in the area. Loved the service and the people. Great place!!! 5 STAR

We found Gianni's using Yahoo Local and we loved it. House Salad and Garlic Rolls are phenominal. My husband and I each had the house special, Chicken Gianni. It was great. Cost is around $20-$25 per meal. Overall it was a great experience, excellent food and second to none service. If we ever get back to Pompano Beach we will go again.

Great food, large portions, good service and not expensive. Gianni's is consistently good. I have been eating at Gianni's for almost 20 years and have never had a bad experience.

We just had dinner at Gianni's and it was fantastic. The garlic dinner rolls are to die for. I could have eaten just the rolls for dinner. I am not a big bleu cheese fan but the Romaine leaf salad with bleu cheese and vinegarette dressing was delicious. My boyfriend had the veal shank special and it just fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. I had the Seafood Fra Diavolo and it was full of seafood and the pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very efficient and friendly. We did not have to ask for anything. I haven't had this quality Italian food since I left Jersey. For the quality and the portion of food you get, it is definately worth the money.

Outstanding! Our absolute favorite is the lasagna, perhaps the best we have had. Quality, amount and priced at really, a bargain. New York quality from an owner who cares. Do not pass this restaurant up..
