Last night I had the pleasure of eating at Origami the sushi
Bar. The comments were right they truly have the best sushi in
The city and according to my tongues ratings the best in general!
Origami’s location is ideal for any one whether you want quite
Relaxing and romantic setting or an energetic and fun evening.
On one side of this eatery is a calmly lit garden with candle
light with a brick pathway leading to little boutiques and free
parking. On the other side of Origami is the spicy lively, main
party street of Key West Duval. At Origami you can either sit
indoors in the a/c at table or at the sushi bar and watch sushi
be prepared, or outdoors with white table cloths surrounded by a
candle lit garden with the breeze of silent fans and/or misters.
Origami being a Japanese restaurant has authentic décor al the
way from Japan ranging from the Maneki Neko that greets you at
the door (a cat that is said to bring good luck) to the
Japanese wood that the sushi bar is made from.
Also from Japan are some of the staff members waitress and
hostess. Their very laid back and can read the situation of the
reason your there for instance if your there for a birthday
party they can be fun and entertaining with their Japanese
birthday song that they sing for you! , but if you’re their for
business or a romantic date they can tone their professional
level up a notch. The staff members are all ways an attentive
their work it you say no onions there will be no onions. The
last and maybe the most important edition to the staff is Kyoto
(also from Japan), the head sushi chef he’ll always make sure
your having an incredible and enjoyable time.
Alright now for the best part… The sushi. Origami is famous for
having the best sushi from marathon to Key West. It’s true I’ve
confirmed it myself by tasting sushi and other Japanese food
from marathon to Key West. Origami’s secrete if fresh food
that’s all you really need for good sushi are fresh fish and
ingredients, and not to much of any ingredient. For instance
their famous Key West Roll which white sticky rice rolled sweet
Japanese smelt-roe, on the inside of the rice is nigri,
(seaweed) wrapped around cream chesses, asparagus, and fired
dolphin this roll is good for people who don’t care for raw
fish and are new to sushi. At origami you don’t have to have
sushi there’s also sashimi, conch, soup and even chicken! They
really have something for everyone including a kids menu.
I highly recommend to anyone who loves: great services, a
wonderful atmosphere, delicious high quality food and isn’t
afraid to try something new, Origami the best sushi bar in the
Keys!
