Cafe Sole, Key West

There are a lot of good restaurants in Kew West and Café Sole is probably not the best one but exactly one of. I was there couple times and always was happy. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is great. I will never forget baked artichoke appetizer, as entrée I had Hog and lobster’s tail, everything was great.

My husband and I went to Cafe Sole today for the 1st time. =Wow. We sat at the wine bar and nibbled on appetizers -- beef carpaccio, flaming cheese doused in brandy with water crackers, dates wrapped in bacon and broiled (sounds funny but it's terrific). The food was unique and perfect but the personalities were better. We watched owner/chef John Correa say goodbye to each departing customer personally. Brandon (maitre d') chatted us up like a storm. By the time we left, we felt like best friends. The place is magical. Excellent wine selection (and we're wine snobs). Thanks, Cafe Sole --we have a new favorite restaurant. We're locals and will recommend it to everyone.

Six of us just returned from a fishing trip in Key West. Naturally we had to visit Cafe de Sole. Myselv and 3 others had the HOG Fish. It had to be one of the best fish dishes I ever had, and I ate fish all over the world. In May of next year I fish again and cant wait to eat at the Cafe de Sole again.

Four of us dined at Cafe Sole on May 23, 2006. All four of us (who ordered different dishes) agree that Cafe Sole served us the best meal we have ever eaten anywhere at any price. Simply phenomenal. Of particular note are the hog snapper entree and the key lime pie dessert. I will undoubtedly return to Cafe Sole each time I visit Key West.

After visitng Key West for many years, we made the move over a year ago. Finally, in January of this year, we discovered Cafe Sole. There is no other place to eat as far as we're concerned. The food is incredible, the presentation, beautiful, the service is beyond what you will find anywhere else in Key West,and the quality of the food is the best!

We dined here on a night when there was a large wedding rehearsal dinner in part of the restaurant, however, happily, it did not effect our service. Food was excellent; we especially liked the tangy, pleasantly bitter salads. The gaspachio soup was not to our liking, seemed like it had been put through a blender, just didn't work for us, but the lobster bisque was exceptional. Desserts are excellent and, I believe, made in house. The big negative was the close proximity of the tables to one another. We do not enjoy dining practically in the laps of strangers. The lack of privacy was unnerving. For these prices, we expect more than great food. They need to eliminate some tables and spread out the seating arrangement.

Cafe Sole offers the most romantic atmosphere of any Key West restaurant. Your dining experience will be the best you will encounter while in Key West!

The Hog Snapper is a must before you leave the island along with the best Lobster Bisque I have ever had!!! You well dream about it for days afterwards. I promise. I will be going back in July for my 6th trip to this dining experience.
