Commodore Waterfront Restaurant (The)
If you don't own one, doesn't mean you can't ogle at one! It's perhaps the closest you can get to a yacht. Dine at The Commodore Waterfront open-air restaurant and watch the richies sailing on smooth waters. But don't get disheartened, for the menu at this restaurant is consolation enough! Nibble at the Mahi Mahi, a house specialty made of grilled dolphins and sun dried tomato pesto with assorted toppings. They also offer Crab Cakes, Lobster bake Grilled Pork Chops and other delicious delights. If you need to watch that bulging tummy, then try the Classic Caesar Salad or the Summer Salads. If you can cope with the calories without a battling conscience, then try the New England Clam chowder or the Farm Raised 'Island princess' Baby Conch.
Commodore is a beautiful waterside restaurant with lovely decor, competent waitstaff, and overpriced bland food. Chicken breast tasted like supermarket rotisserie chicken. Was supposed to have garlic and herbs, but we didn't taste them. Snapper was a nice piece of fish but sauce was flavorless. Not recommended.
We recently celebrated out wedding here. Food was fantastic as was the atmosphere. Night was ruined by our waiter who chased down my best man and demanded a higher tip, even though he received the customary fifteen percent.
We were in Key West this past weekend and had dinner at The Commodore our first night there. It was a very nice restaurant, but Key West casual, so it was very comfortable. The service was extremely attentive, and the food was superb. Great location and view, too! We'd highly recommend it!
What a fabulous experience this was. Beautiful dining room where every table overlooks the water and the wonderful harbor.
The food was exceptionally good and the dining room staff were very attentive but also made us feel very relaxed. This by far was are most relaxing and enjoyable dining experience in Key West. It was recommended to us by our taxi driver. I did notice that a lot of the customers knew each other which is a great sign as obviously they were all locals who dine there on a regular basis. Great job.

you will find avant garde artwork in the gallery upstairs and great chow at modest prices in the restaurant. ...
