Cafe Maxx, Pompano Beach

If you want fine dining, this is the place to go in South Florida. The staff is attentive, the atmosphere is comfortable and the food is terrific. Have some caviar pie, taste the grouper and then finish it off with apple pie. You will be satisfied for a week. Happy eating!

Food was overpriced for quality and creativity. Staff was rude and ignorant. We had stone crabs and the hot towels (for washing our hands after eating) were brought out 5 minutes before the stone crabs arrived so by the time we were going to use them they were cold. The buser informed us that some of the staff is lazy and they do it that way. For the prices, they should be employing the appropriate etiquette.

As part of “Dine Out Lauderdale” we went to Café Maxx for their related $35 price fixed menu. The food was fine except for the cold tomatoes on the Caprese salad, over cooked vegetables that came with the Petite Filet Mignon and the Crème Brulee that was mostly cream. However, the service was not friendly and felt rushed. Given their normal prices we don’t think the value is there for a return visit.

Have dined here before and it has been excellent every time! The menu always has new offerings, although maybe does not change as often as it did in the early years. The managment stays the same, and run a tight opperation. The sevice staff is always freindly, professional and sharp. Ambiance is warm and has a classy charm. Always a great wine list and now offer a full bar. But best of all the FOOD.

Charming restaurant with very good food and service. It came well recommended and justly so. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy. Try it, you'll like it!

Leti and I ate here and the food was quite good. Service was lame and the power went on and off throughout the night. Would I go again? Yes, in hopes that that was an aberration! This is one of the 'top' restaurants in FLL.

The food and wine is excellent. Everything is very fresh and you can tell they cook with all of the best products. Excellent date place.
