This Cafe looks like a Diner, yet the food is gourmet .. The soups are all homemade and out of this world and the prices are affordable.
The breakfast specials are unique and delicious...The Sunday specials are the best.
The lunch specials are the best in town, maybe the best in the state, which include a Flank Steak Provencal, The signature special.
The servers are very pleasant and accommodating..
They accept Master Card or Visa and Cash of course and they are open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch 6:30am -3pm
Great creative specials. Best in South Florida. The soups are to kill for. Large, gourmet omelettes at reasonable prices. European and French cuisine at a low price. Kelly, Ronnie and Maria do a great job at waitressing. Henry and the boys do a splendid job at cooking. If you are looking for a better place to eat, you won't find it. Do your self a favor and check out the Sunday morning specials, you'll be glad you did.
We flew down from Illinois to Ft. Lauderdale to adopt a rescue dog and had rented a rental car to drive back and was in Florida for less than 24 hrs. We were looking for a place to eat before we picked up our new pup and found Michael s Cafe. Let me say that the food was awesome! My son had the biscuits & gravy and it was the best I had ever tasted! My Fiancee had the special which was a cream cheese omlette with red roasted peppers, mushrooms & avocado. It was to die for! I had the basic scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast but even that was perfect. The hashbrowns were golden brown and cooked to perfection without being overly greasy. We were told that all the bread was homemade- I believe it because my toast was really good. The service and friendliness of the staff was just as good. I would highly reccommend this little gem of a cafe! We loved the area and this little cafe so much that we are planning a trip back in October and I will be eating breakfast at Micheal s each day we are in town..and I m so looking forward to it : )
a friend and I went to Michaels Cafe II in pompano for lunch and I was surprised how delicious and reasonable priced it was. I had the Flounder Provencale and my friend has the Old Fashion Chicken. The soups were unbelievable. The wait staff were very pleasant and prompt service. I highly recommend this restaurant
Many years ago I was a fan of the creative ( french ) chef at the Red Fox Bistro in Light House Point.
By luck I discover that he is now chef at MICHAEL'S CAFE II, just across the venitian plaza.
Still a wonderful experience with his creativity especially for sunday specials.
If you want an upscale gourmet breakfast or lunch at a very soft price, do not miss this place.
The cream of the cream.
Best food in town for a great price.
Funny, accommodating staff. Maria is our Favorite! She is great at remember what you like.
Cannot find the awesome Sunday Specials anywhere else...Schnitzel Cordon Bleu, Regular Schnitzel, Eggs Benedict, Spinach Eggs Benedict. Pancakes and Crepes are great.
Have never had anything bad.
Open for Breakfast and Lunch.
MY favorites are the schnitzel, Benedict, and a Turkey Reuben with cole slaw instead of sauerkraut(not on the menu Is a special request for me!).
