Schooner Wharf Bar, Key West

This has to be the worst restaurant in the south. I came here with a party of 20. The food was subpar, but the best part was when we were done dinning. The waitress and the manager had the nerve to bring us a pen and a piece of paper and told us to figure it out OURSELVES on how we are going to pay this bill because they could not split up the check. THEY COULD HAVE TOLD US THIS PRIOR TO SERVING US!!!! The manager was incompetent. He explanation to this was that his servers were too busy and he didn’t know how to do it. If he doesn’t know than how are we? It took us 1hr to check out of this place and made us late for the rest of the night. Because it took the process so long, I decided to grab a drink from the bar and the bartender had the attitude to tell me to comment on the tip I left. This may be located in the Deep South, but they wouldn’t know what southern hospitality is if it hit them in the face. Save your money and take it somewhere else on this island, plenty of great places. I gave them one star, because the live music was good, everything else was awful. NEVER AGAIN!

If you are looking for good local entertainment,great drinks,good food at a fair price, with friendly service and one of the best views in the keys, then you found it!! You can enjoy a cocktail or two while you watch the Sunset from the upper deck, and they have music 7 days and nights a week...Make sure you try it, trust me, once you do, you will go back again and again..

We go to Key West at least twice a year and always go to Schooner Wharf Bar. Great time; no matter what time you go. We go for people watching, drinking but not to eat. Music is good no matter what time you go. If you haven't hit this bar at least once while in Key West, you haven't been in Key West.

If you want to have a glass or two of beer on the waterfront this might be the place for you. It's raucus and fun in that way. There is almost always live music going on. Hungry? Then forget it. The food was greasy and the and the whole place is questionable in terms of cleanliness. It reeks of cigarettes and stale beer.

This was one of my favorite bars in KW (along with the Green Parrot and The Hog's Breath). While playing pool with a local gent in the Parrot, he told me if I liked wings to go to the Schooner. Well, I have to tell you that the Carribean wings were the best wings I have ever eaten. The beers were cold, the bartenders friendly,the drinks were stiff and the entertainment was good. I like the fact that there are many locals who frequent the place. Basically, it is my kind of bar. I will be there every time I go to KW.

This is a great place for happy hour. The food was good, but our waitress was grouchy. She obviously wanted to go home early that night. We would go back, despite our poor service. The live band added to the fun atmosphere.

Excellent food and drinks in a relaxing atmosphere. Service was excellent and highly recommend the seafood variety platter, but bring a friend. It's a lot of food.

i was craving conch fritters at a late hour. we walked (not on duval) around until we found some place that looked open enough to cook. we just happened to run into schooner wharf. they had just closed the kitchen and i was starving. my husband asked the cook if we could get some conch fritters. that sweetheart made a special order just for us, even though i am sure he rather would have gone home. the fritters were great! the people at schooner wharf were good people. i can't say enough about their service. they also had some great live music going on as well. give this place a try!

Great atmosphere; cold beer and they LOVE dogs. It's great to see the dogs hanging around the place with their owners. Any place that loves dogs HAS to be run by good people. We have been to KW seven times and this is always our first and last stop! We also celebrated New Years at Schooner's Wharf and it was a blast!!!!!!
