I visited this place with my cousins last week and had expected best food. Well, food was good and services too but it could be much better than it had. I hope next time I will visit this place again they will have the best food and service that I expect from them.
This place is really very clean and tidy. They have good staff too. The food is not so that good as the stuffs we ordered were not that spicy we expected to be. It’s like above average place but not that much great....
I love Houston's but hate the wait. If you have a party of 5 or more they are not very accommodating. There are only a few tables that will fit this size of a party. Even with this size of a party you will definitely be cozy and that's if everyone is skinny in your party. You would think they they want to make the money that they would cater to larger parties. I don't go there as much because of the wait.
went on a sunday afternoon around 5 pm a 20 min. wait to sit outside, sat near the bar, can only order drinks and apps.took about 10 min. from order to service for a glass of wine and a beer.(a little long for my taste). Not a great start but once we were seated the service was good and the food did not take long to be served (may be due to limited menu) over all was not impressed for the price we paid for our meal. service needs a lot of work to be considered fine dinning. on the plus side the outside area over looks the water and although it was 90 degrees out side i stayed cool as a cucumber.
okay, heres the real skinny. first of all dont go here on friday or saturday and ever expect to eat at a reasonable time. my girlfriend took me here because she loves it, and i can see why....shes into expensive things. but seriously the food is good but pricey. we were told that a table for 2 would take an hour and a half...it took two hours. we waited outside and had a cocktail. a jack and coke and a champagne cost us 20 bucks....you can use your own descrection on wether that worth it or not. then we had an appitizer which was spinach and artichoke dip.....not too exciting....that was another additional eleven. these were on seperate chacks so there were also seperate tips. when we finally got seated i felt really bad for a family of about 8 people who had to be seated at 3 seperate tables located at very unstrategic places throughout the place. so dont come with more than 4 people either. go for a date with someone and expect to spend a lot, but the food is pretty good.
Like all Houston's restaurants the food and service are good and the price is reasonable. What makes this location special is the view. It's right on the Intracoastal so if you sit outside you'll have a great view of the waterway.
Be prepared to wait a while for a table, though!
