Having lived in Key West for several months, we were lucky enough to eat at some fine restaurants in the area. As great as some of them were, however, we repeatedly found ourselves venturing out to to Stock Island to eat some of the best mexican food we have ever had. The ambiance is pure local. Forget the Tommy Bahama, a tee shirt with paint on it will do fine. But the food is fantastic, the service friendly and attentive without being overbearing and the price for what you get is more than fair. You will not leave hungry, nor disappointed.
