Do not stay here
By Kate, 2/4/09
he pictures are not accurate. This is a run down hotel. Some of the rooms were redone on the upper floors(even those were disgusting) we got a room that was horrible.Smelled like mold and smoke, looked like there was mold on the walls, toilet stopped up,balcony and railing felt unsafe. If I was by myself I would not feel safe there.Old furniture, the bed was sunk in,small tv.Do yourself a favor,do not stay here. When I left the guy at the front desk said to come again,I will never set foot in that hotel again.

Sorry Sands it's bad!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/07
My family and I have a boat and the kids loved having lunch by the Sands pool until now. The service is awful and the kitchen is durty. My child ordered a cheese burger. When it came to the table with the other food the cheese was stuck to the bottom of another basket. I asked to get a new cheese burger and the cook just added a new piece of cheese to the old burger. When I asked to food runner to return it, he threw up his hands at us??? We were regular customers but now we will never go back.

casual & yummy!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/07
Don't forget to bring your suit, there's a pool, great to keep the kids busy. Try the wings, they are excellent. I remember when I was young and went there w/ my parents. Good business!

Not bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/29/06
I was there as a scuba diver and it was perfect for that. The rooms are set up with tiled entrances for our dripping dive gear. View overlooked the marina. It was a 2 minute walk to the dive shop and charter boat each day. Perfect if you are using South Florida Dive HQ. They also give a discount for divers using that charter.

Terrible
By Marc C, 3/24/06
Where do I start : Positives: There was a bed to sleep in. Patio Bar was right downstairs. It is right on the waterway. Negatives: Outdated - way outdated!!! Celebrated engagement down there. Parents wanted to get a bottle of champagne delivered to our rooom - Hotel Would not do it!!! There is an attached restaurant(Joes w/ full wine list). Joe's is literally 10 feet from front desk - they would not accomadate. Allow any tom, dick or harry to use pool facilities and the 5 lounge chairs they have. You could never get a chair - and you had to share pool with rest of Pompano Beach Beach is actually two full blocks away - not 1 block like they say. Hotel warrants a half of star for providing bed and watering hole to drink away dissapointment.

Never Stay Here
By Mike, 3/23/06
All or the pictures are at least 5 years old. This place smells when you walk through the door into the lobby. There is no parking on the weekends in the tiny lot. The rooms are dated and very dirty. I don't even think you can call what we slept on a bed. Look for other places to stay in the area. This is a place to avoid !!!!!
