Hurricane Grill, Marathon

Every time I have gone to the Hurricane, let it be for $5.00 Ribs on Sundays, $1.00 Tacos on Tuesdays, 25 cent Wings on Thursdays or the $5.00 Lunches all week, I have had a pleasant experience. They have great home made soups, have added Pizzas to their menu (after 5:00pm), have nightly specials that start at 6:00pm and a great quirky staff that makes dinning entertaining. My favorite this is the entertainment they bring in.

The Hurricane Grill is outstanding, the lunch specials are served from 11am to 4pm daily. They include a snapper sandwich, a cheeseburger, a soup and half sandwich, excellent ribs over mashed potatoes, a BLT, a sausage and pepper hero, and of course the Hurricane Sliders, and they are all $5.00, yep 5 bucks, can't beat it. On Tuesday it is Taco day and I believe there is a wing special on Thurs. In addition to all of this the beer is cold and the staff friendly. In the evening there is some really great entertainment. I am a local, I live in the area and have for 8 years, I think the Hurricane is a great place, and a great value. By the way they now have excellent pizza after 5pm and deliver locally from 5p to midnight, 7 days a week. Enjoy!

On my first night in Marathon, I asked the desk clerk at my hotel for a recommendation on a simple and easy place for dinner. He highly recommended Hurricane Grille saying he ate there a couple times per week. He even claimed they had daily specials and $5 half-racks of ribs. Unfortunately, we ate there before 6:00pm when specials start, so I can't speak of the specials. I can say the half-rack of ribs was $13.99 and $5 more to make it a whole rack. With three people in my party, we ordered various sandwiches and none of us were impressed. The French Fries were quite good, but my Buffalo Chicken Sliders had absolutely no kick to them and were very plain. Overall, the dinner was plain and boring. I think the hotel clerk must have a relative who works at or owns the Hurricane. The food wasn't bad, but you can get more flavor and more value from the Wendy's up the street.

The Hurricane is a great place to hang out with friends and eat some food. The food is pretty good, but you go to the Hurricane for the great atmosphere. The music is fun and the service is great. If you want to have a night of dancing, food and fun with your friends definitely go to the Hurricane.

liked the food very much, everything was prepared nicely, the place is kid friendly. The service was very good, they also had great deserts. The Hurricane Grill caters to may groups, from single to famalies and seems that waiters can handle every type.

The hurricane was fab!! We went in September 2005 an loved it. The food was always enjoyable - even if you weren't hungry it was that good you just had to eat it! The staff were very efficient, and sociable - 2 of the guys VERY handsome! Live entertainment, and lots of friendly people! Definately recommend it to anybody going to the keys!
