This restaurant is amazing. There were 7 of us. We ordered the Lazy Day chicken, Key West Chicken, Chicken Picatta, and Mahi Mahi. We shared each others meals and couldn't decide which one we loved best. The banana bread was delicious. So was the apple pie. We can't wait to go back.
This is THE BEST restaurant in the Florida Keys. Their Lazy Days style fish is AMAZING, and this year we discovered their bouillabaisse.....OMG, it is the best thing I ever had in my mouth! The atmosphere is lovely....it is a stop we always make, 7 years in a row and counting. If you ever go to the keys, YOU MUST eat here, MM79.9, there's one at MM47, but never ate there. CHECK IT OUT ~ LAZY DAYS, ISLAMORADA GO NOW!!!!!
you'll love Lazy Days. Been coming here for twenty five years and it just gets better. bring your catch and chef Lupe will prepare it like no one else can. the fish at Lazy days is always the freshest. Great appetizers and great desserts too! plus the best view in the world. I could eat here every day and when in the keys we do. Seriously, don't miss this place, you'll fall in love with Lazy Days!
Best seafood period. I've been going here for years and it just doesn't get any better. Try any fish done Seminole style (fish covered in artichoke, scallops and shrimp) thats my favorite. You can bring your catch in (cleaned of course) and they will prepare it anyway you like. I live in Islamorada and bring mine in regularly. Be prepared to take home leftovers. Chef Lupe is the best.
We heard about Lazy Days from another guest at The Cheeca Lodge who told us this place was wonderful. We sat at the bar (we didn't have a reservation and the place was almost full) where Molly, the bartender, took care of us (if you don't make it to the bar, at least stop by and say hi to her). The menu is a great mix of seafood, chicken, and steak (my friend had the Grouper special- with capers and tomatoes- the best Grouper he said he's ever had!) and I had the Lazy Days Chicken (encrusted with bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, tomatoes, and topped with Key Lime Butter). Don't fill up on the salad that comes with your entree- the portion size is enough for two people.
If you plan on coming to Lazy Days I recommend you make a reservation (and ask to sit on the balcony as it's right on the water).
