The tower is a very nice laid back little pizza joint, not very fancy, but clean and nice. The food is all very good, but the pizza is what we go for. We go to the keys a few times a year and my kids talk about the garlic rolls the whole way down from Illinois. Don't miss out on it.
i think tower of pizza is great!!the best pizza ever ...everything there is perfect! also the servise is the greatest they are so kind i thought i was home!! some times we do have to wait a while to get in but it is worth it and also it shows that a lot of people enjoy eating there and that the food is good!!! so i hope they always have bussness like that.... tower pizza rocks....!!!!
I live within walking distance from them, and lemme tell ya, I have packed on the weight! They have some of the greatest pizza you will ever have, with loads of cheese and toppings. Their subs are also to die for, especially their steak sub, makes my mouth water just thinking about it. It is a laid back and casual atmosphere, and a great experience to dine in. With good and friendly service, you never have to wait for a refill, or another beer. It can be a little bit pricey, but what isn't in the Florida Keys, and you always get more then you can eat, so it is plenty worth it. I recommend this place to anyone with a hankering for some good ole' Italian food! (Also, order some garlic rolls, you will NOT be disappointed!)
Just visited Tower Pizza and have to say being a New Yorker, it is hard to find good italian anywhere off mulberry street. This was surprizing good and I highly recommend the Tower casserole. It was a perfect mix of sausage and pepper and spaghetti & meatballs all in one dish.
I have to agree with Colorado, actually. I went there three years ago for the first time as well, and was amazed at how awesome the food was. Perfect consistency, crust, toppings, service, everything. Then I went back there this year, and it has indeed changed. Very greasy pizza, and some poor service, as well as a medium wait for the greasy pizza. Plus, the place was hectic, loads of people on a Saturday night. Just hoping that it could be as good as it was, but all in all, not bad for a local hotspot.
this is the best pizza i have had in 10 years. nobody in the miami area comes close to tower of pizza. they pile on the toppings and while the prices are a tad expensive, it's COMPLETELY WORTH IT! the garlic rolls are pretty awesome too! too bad they are in key largo and not closer to my home, i can only eat here while on vacation.
I visited Tower of Pizza about 3 years ago and thought that it was great! However, a recent visit as of a week ago left me sorely dissapointed. The pizza was extremely thin and very greasy. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce (clumped) with feta cheese in square lumps. Quite a difference from the first time. We ate, left a tip and never returned. What a dissapointment and very poor quality. The only thing that I can say good about this place is the wait staff is polite and fast and that it's casual. This restaurant is highly overrated. I don't know if it's changed hands or chefs or what happened, but my experience was that the food was very poor. This place has gone downhill. Try Upper Crust Pizza. I tried them after this bad experience and I thought it was great.
