Conca D'Oro Restaurant & Pizza, Hollywood

I have been dining here since 1991,I absolutely love the food and atmosphere.home style Italian at it's best,live Music adds a great touch. I took some friends from Italy there this year and they loved it,The Delucas are doing a fine job,hell I drive all the way from Palm beach County to eat there,enjoy Buon Appetitto

This place was recommended by a friend. I really love Antonio's veal marsala, (a nice little place on Dania Beach Blvd) they were closed on a Monday, my friend said D'oro's veal would blow that away. Well, I was totally disappointed, the house salad was iceberg with a wedge of tomato, two black olives and one really good large green one. The bread was warm and crispy focaccia style stuff, (rolls at Antonio's are awesome) good, but not great~I had a calamari appetizer which could have been nice as a half order, tender and well cooked, but a pinch of salt could have brought out the complexity, this was a bit bland. Finally, after a too long wait the main event, my veal arrived. Here's the punch line...again, no seasoning (i.e. salt and pepper!?) and the veal although three cutlets was as thin as a sheet of paper and appeared to have been cooked in an autoclave~just not appetizing. Add to this the owner lady was at the bar entertaining friends and the would go out for a smoke and come back reeking. My bill was 43 bucks and change I handed a fifty over and said thanks, happy to leave. Twenty-one dollars for veal and 10 bucks for callamari 5 plus bucks a piece for two bottles of beer. When I arrived I was sure I'd be back with my wife for a special night, when I left, I knew I would never even consider it. This place like most in downtown Hollywood should just go away, as a native son of South Florida I can say we once had good food here but it's getting rare~this was disappointing for sure, no one even asked how my meal was(probably very apparent to them). I so wish I had come home and cooked....just bad.

THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST. wE HAVE BEEN DININGHERE FOR A WHLE NOW, THE SERVICE IS GREAT AND THE FOOD IS REAL IDALIAN. NOTHIHNG OUT OF A CAN. THERE IS ALSO MUSIC ON THE WEEKENDS. YOU CAN SING ALONG AND DANCE IF YOU WISH. iT REMINDS ME OF TE ITALIAN VERSION OF CHEERS.

we have been coming here for 15 years cant say ive had a bd dinner there. the staff is great thet have been at conca d oro ever since we been coming there. the owers are vert accommodating , and friendly. the pizza is a favorite,but the dinner,like soup de clams or mussels,i cant say more im getting hungrey. the music bring to you Italey, or by request the 60, 70, 80 and today. cona doro has it all. happy to have found a home away from home ,where i dont have to cook, and still tasted like i did.

We have been long term patrons of Conca Doro restaurant. It is a great night out if you like great food, great service and a great place to dance. There are not many places around that offer all three. We have met alot of people over the years due to the friendly atmosphere. When we have visitors from other states Conca Doro is always on the list of places we must go.

We recently dined at Conc D'Oro after many years since our last visit.The restaurant had been renovated and expanded.We arrived at about 6:00 PM and were seated after a short wait. Our waiter was not very cordial and seemed distracted and was not very helpfull with recommendations. The service was inattentive and became more so with more diners arriving with large parties.The food was good and well prepared.The waiter did not return to ask if we needed anything or when finished with our main course if we cared for beverage or desert. We had to ask another waitress for the check.It will be a long time before I return .

Pizza is bangin! (try to get Jack to make your pie) everything else is a toss up. I worked there back in 2003. food is anywhere from alright to good. do yourself a favor and dont order anything with breading in on or around your meal. house salad dressing is also really good. a little pricy at times, but has a very authentic feel.
