Mr Manatee's Casual Grille, Vero Beach

This restaurant is a tourist trap. Confusing specials and hidden fees! Wing special is their big draw and they charge for celery and blue cheese we found on the receipt later! Special starts after 6 and happy hour ends at 5, We arrived at 5:10 to find we were screwed on both counts. Drinks are in small glasses with TONS of ice and last about 5 minutes. Watered down to the max!!! Expect to just get played at a place that has the style of Spring Break hangout.

went for local good seafood . it was ok but ended up just a glorified applebee's. service was lacking.

Great local restaurant. Very consistent food quality and very nice servers. Try the HUGE raw oysters, wings are great. salads are super. The atmosphere is pretty casual, but great good for a good value

The food taste just aweful, and the waitstaff are inconsiderate, and unfriendly.

I have lived here all my life and my first time ever going to Mr. Manatees was on 12/7/07 and it was delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone that has never been there before. The food is fresh and the service is excellent. I will go back there every chance I get.

I tried to eat at Mr. Manatee's 10/06/2007. Got a table after waiting for 5 minutes for a waitress. Nice casual atmosphere. Ordered crab cakes and rock shrimp. Got the crab cakes which are nothing but bread. Had rock shrimp juice spilled on me by the waitress who also took my silverware after I'd eaten my total lame salad and never got the silverware back so my rock shrimp got cold after I waited 20 minutes. Sent the order back and had to leave. Will never go back to Mr. Manatee's.

Mr. Manatee's is a great place to bring your family and friends. There is a view of water in the seating in the back of the resturant. The food is excellent from the seafood to the burgers. They have a wonderful menu for anyone and everyone. The waitors and waitresses are all kind and love to serve you. (tip them well.) They also have a sports bar serving some of the best drinks. I highly recommend this casual grille to anyone.

I have been going to Mr.Manatees since i was 8 years old. iam now 24. i have always ordered the coconut shrimp. i believe it is the best thing on the menu. i havent been to florida in about 3 years so i reallly miss Mr. Manatees but when i want coconut shrimp i go to Red Lobster. it doesnt taste the same as mr.manatees but its okay. I would recomend this bar & Grill to anyone. They are respectful people and they have wonderful food. i miss you guys. hopefully see you soon :-)

Like a sports bar, it is a great choice for seafood, with an oyster bar. If your short on cash, and want seafood go here, then walk down to fountain park, and look at the Indian River Lagoon.
