The new millennium has seen Jaxsonac2s recognized for decades of quality achieved through dedication and hard work. Monroeac2s original mission was to produce the finest food and Ice Cream possible, and he remains true to that mission everyday. Jaxsonac2s has recently been featured on the Food Networkac2s Top Five as the Top Cool Quencher. Bon Appetit, Southern Living and the local press are also fans of Jaxsonac2s.
Very over-rated ice cream that relies on quantity to wow your eyes and sell u on overly expensive ice cream. Against my better judgment I went along with my cousin and took a large party of 16 for dinner and ice cream (there were 4 kids). We got there and were told it would be about a 30 minute wait. We waited over an hour before the manager got involved and tried to get us seated. He seemed incapable of managing a simple problem like a seating arrangement and was trying to stuff us into a spot that obviously would not work. At the same time there was a clear overflow table right next to us that he would not let us have. He would not accommodate us despite us explaining that our family was visiting out of state and had a few kids. We ended up walking out after a 90 minute wait without dinner. I cannot emphasize how bad this company treats customers.
My family and I just moved back to Fla. And found Jaxson's by change and we just love the place and it's only three min from our house. we eat there at least once a week and the ice cream is to die for.
SO FUN! It's a cozy, little hole in the wall restaurant. the food's great, the ice cream's delicious, and the atmosphere's fun! It's more pricey then just a baskin robbins/dairy queen ice cream, but definitely worth it! the kitchen sink is H-U-G-E!
This place is the bomb! Home made ice cream made fresh daily and so is the root beer - you have to try it! The foot long hot dog platter is more than you can eat in two days! And the kitchen sink is really served in a minature kitchen sink - bring LOTS of friends if you brave that one! Monroe (the owner) is a baby doll and he still oversees the daily operation after 50 years. You won't want to miss this place I promise the kitchy environment will make you smile and the food and friendliness will bring you back for seconds, and thirds, and fourths!
We have been loyal customers for over 35 years and we live in New York!!!
We fly into Ft Lauderdale and go directly to Jaxson's, my wife LOVES the mocha chip with big pieces of chocolate and I crave the pistachio, the peach, and the black raspberry. The wait can be long, the setting is lowdown, but the Ice Cream is great and so is the food. Terrific burgers, fries, dogs, sandwiches. Prices are fair . . .but OHHHHHH THE ICE CREAM ! ! !
It is our first stop when we land and our last stop before we take off and she weighs 115 lbs - we don't eat ice cream at home.
