How are they still in business? We used to go there, years ago. They had great food and a nice salad bar. We went there 2 weeks ago, Saturday night at 7:30 when all other restaurants were packed, and there was only 2 other couples there. Should have been a clue. My eggplant dish was so overpowered by the bread crumbs I couldn't tell it was eggplant. The spaghetti side dish was good though. My husband's chicken marsala was just okay. I took most of my dinner home and ended up throwing it away because I just didn't want it again. Obviously we won't be back-
Excellent if you like traditional thin crust pizza, although a couple times they had oven issues and the pizza quality suffered for it, although they gave me that one on the house.
Normally great for thin crust pepperoni.
Used to really love Vinnie's. Definitely can't recommend it anymore. Apparently under new management since 12/2011. Went there tonight for first time under new management. Waited for over an hour before an burnt, but undercooked stromboli came to my table. Also, initial free bread appetizer that came to the table was phenomenally under baked and doughy. Old gentlemen that put it on the table had apparently squeezed the so-called bread on put it on the serving plate. His squeeze marks remained in the uncooked bread. We ordered coffee and I initially received 1/2 of a cup of tea colored so-called coffee that tasted like they ran a second batch of water thru previously used grounds. After finally complaining to someone that might have been in charge about the 40 minute wait for a simple calzone and stromboli, we were assured that our meal would arrive in 8-10 minutes...20 minutes later (one hour total) we were finally delivered our meal, and it was pathetic. They obviously attempted to rapidly cook the calzone and stromboli resulting in a pretty burnt exterior and still doughy inside. Definitely not good eats. Personnel told us they were simply slammed tonight, but when we arrived, at least 1/3 of the restaurant was empty so, I really didn't have an pity in that regard.
Like i said, my wife and I used to eat there frequently and loved the place. Can't say I'd have anyone go there under the new management.
