Taste of India, Melbourne

I have gone to taste of India for nearly a year every friday night. I have found this restaurant always clean. The employees are extremely friendly and treat me and my boyfriend with the utmost respect. Even when I bring my granddaughter in the chitchat with her. When she is not with me they always ask about her. Now their food is extremely tasteful. I have tried several diferent dishes and I cannot make a complaint about any of the dishes. I recommend this restaurant to all thatwish to try it.

My father and I stopped by this reataurant to have our New Year's lunch. While we were delighted with the slection of choices for the buffet, I was somewhat disappointed with the service. When I asked for the check, I was just given lip service and felt neglected even when I asked the server for the check twice. We waited forever to get the check, and my father became quite irritated. He does not have the patience that I do, and he decided to go up to the front desk to close the tab. This was totally unnecessary. A restaurant should be more professional and efficient in dealing with the customers. I must say that this was not the first time that I have experienced this treatment at Taste of India. It does not take much effort to address the needs of the customer when he/she is trying to close the tab. While I will not stop coming to this restaurant, I do hope that I encounter more efficient service in the future. A customer should only have to ask for his/her tab once and receive it.

Just FABULOUS! All freshly prepared and well seasoned. I had the spinach Dhosa and was instantly transported to Southern India. My tablemates had Korma and Tikka Masala Chicken and were also raving about their choices. I will go back as often as I can. The service was VERY personable and friendly, too.

Stay away from the appetizer type chips and dips. They're reused from the people before you.

Try the Buffet during the Day, Great selection to find what You like if not familar with Indian food. Great Service. Clean too!

Authentic and very tasty! Nice variety and the staff are always friendly. Bit pricey for buffet at lunch, but you get what you pay for. 5 stars all around!!!!!!!

Absolutely the best Indian Restaurant in the area. We drive from West Palm Beach to Melbourne just to enjoy their cuisine!

If you enjoy authentic Indian food then this is the place for you. The service is good, but the food has always been tasty, and the menu has a good selection for price. I enjoy the Tika Marsala, Korma, and Nan. It does get busy around dinnertime, but the wait is not long. Really enjoy this restraunt anytime we go, although I have not been able to try the Lunch Buffet, which I have heard is excellent.
