A cool place to spend some time
Recently we visited the Cocoa Beach Pier. After almost 20 years of living in Brevard I have never been there and figured it was about time. I was happy to find that on this night there was no charge for parking and no charge for entrance onto the pier, so piers I've been to require that you pay. This place has a ton of bars and places to grab a bite to eat and the atmosphere was pretty jumping already at 5:30 on a Sunday. We walked to the end of the pier grabbed a bench and watched the surfers and the cruise ships. From here you can see most of Cocoa Beach and all the way up to the port. There was a cool little tiki bar at the piers end and if we come here again we'll be checking that out. We ended up having dinner at Marlin's which was pretty tasty. Their menu runs the full gamet from salads and soups to sandwhiches and steaks. The service was good and the prices weren't bad. I had the chowder and a tuna melt and John had a Cajun Chicken Sandwhich and we shared a bread pudding. Overall it was a good meal and not too pricey. The atmosphere was great and we'd try this place again. So if your ever in the area and looking for something to do check out the Cocoa Beach Pier.
