Boston Lobster Feast
Owner, Jeff Hazell spent his youth helping his father, a professional lobsterman. His restaurant prides itself on serving only lobsters from cold New England waters. Boston Lobster is popular with any lobster lover. The atmosphere is heavy on the wood paneling typical of Boston restaurants with dim lighting at each table. The signature Incredible Seafood Feast is still the most popular attraction; other offerings include various fried platters, such as cod, scallops and shrimp.
Waiter did not clear the table quick enough, lobsters were small and were rubbery from sitting in chaffing dishes. never put out any good snow crab legs only the bodies of the crabs. This place was HORRIBLE!!!!!! $34.95 per person.....go elsewhere!!!!!!
I was expecting a good feast for $39.95, but I was very disappointed. The raw bar was low quality. The oysters were small and gritty. They should have washed them off. I think the boiled shrimp should have been peeled and devaned for the price they charge. The fried seafood was very low quality, lower than a cheap bargain buffet. The crab legs were OK. The lobster was over cooked, chewy and rubbery. The iced tea was good, but no iced tea is worth $2.99. The broiled fish, salad and desserts were OK. The atmosphere wasn't as good as a cheap fast food joint. I won't be back.
I am afraid to say that this had to be the worst place we ate while we were in Orlando.
The food looked like it had been standing around for ages and had no flavour at all.
The lobsters were tasteless and everything else was baked to an inedible state!
Eat there on 1/20/07 and the food is over cooked and the lobster and crab is so water logged that you can't crack the shells becaus ethey are so soft.
The $39.99 cost per person is to expensive for the quality you are eating for that amount of money you can dine at any of Orlano's prime restaurant for under that price.
WAY TOO much MONEY for food that is beyond terrible. If you don't get the buffet, you are left with a whopping 4 choices. However on a positive note, our waitress was most delightful. NEVER GO TO BOSTON LOBSTER FEAST.
I'm not a big seafood eater but my husband was in heaven. We are planning a trip down that way very soon. I do like fried shrimp and theirs is some of the best I have ever ate. I would recommend this place to everyone, especially those who can eat like my husband.
There was four of us who had been waiting for this holiday for two years. We had also been told to try the boston lobster .Never again the waiter was fine at first when he seated us he told us it was an all you can eat buffet so we helped ourselfs .At the end of the meal i asked for the bill. Two hundred and twenty seven dollars i nearly collapsed but when you add the tip on it was nearly two and fifty dollars. This is where the waiter got tough or so he thought we had missed calculated the tip by two dollars so he thought he would try and make a show of us in front of every body he tried to say tips are legal.I just said they were optional in a nice sought of way i paid the bill minus a tip and got an appolagy off him as well. Was in florida for two weeks and tipped more than i should of.Just watch the waiters in the boston lobster if they can bully you they will.
