Boston Lobster Feast
Owner, Jeff Hazell spent his youth helping his father, a professional lobsterman. His restaurant prides itself on serving only lobsters from cold New England waters. Boston Lobster is popular with any lobster lover. The atmosphere is heavy on the wood paneling typical of Boston restaurants with dim lighting at each table. The signature Incredible Seafood Feast is still the most popular attraction; other offerings include various fried platters, such as cod, scallops and shrimp.
The food great...the price not so great. Very price. For the two of us we paid 89.95. We had a great time eating the lobster and the staff even shows you how to eat the lobster. It was a great experience, but I would like to find another lobster bar for half the price...come on it's Florida there has to be one...right?!
Save yourself mega $$$$$. Run away from this restaurant. I cannot believe I paid almost $200.00 for 4 people to eat the worst food I've ever had in a restaurant. We ate at the Boston Lobster Feast at Florida Mall. We arrived at 5:30 - the beginning of the dinner hour. The food was not hot, overcooked and dry, sometimes even hard. It was the worst food ever. I should have listened to the negative reviews I read. I tried a little of almost everything on the bar - I found nothing that was any good except the french fries....those they cooked to order. They were good - but they weren't worth almost $50.00!!!
The Food was pretty good, but price was a little high. The lobsters were over cooked but the crab legs were great! My husband definetly got his money worth of those. They also had a lot of other items on the buffet that were great, especially the beer battered shrimp. But the Lobster Bisque wasn't very good. If you don't like seafood then this is not the place for you, since it is 90% seafood on the buffet. They do have a menu you can order from, but my sister got the chicken strips and they were terrible.
I suppose I was satisfied. Our family was starving and we are seafood obsessors. We were driving by and saw this place on our way out of Orlando. We stopped in expecting something not too extravagant, but at least better than that cheap little 3 week-old crab joint like we (DONT) enjoy on our to Cleveland OH when we go to see relatives. All I remember from this place is that it was dark, smelled like stinky fish, and it took us almost 45 minutes after we ordered to get our (COLD) lobster. The staff were friendly and very distressed on our service. That would make me go back, but the overpriced food make me very unsatisfied. So, I will say it simply. I was satisfied and unsatisfied at the same time! I might not go back, depends on how hungry I am next drive by.
