Bahama Breeze, Orlando

Surprised Ive read these many bad reviews on this restaurant. I like the atmosphere and all and the food is okay. Its not the best food but its not bad :)

I agree TOURIST TRAP.The food was terrible and then when we tip the waiter a 20 he gave us a dirty look.there are much better places to eat on I drive 2/18/2012

HORRIBLE TOURIST TRAP!!! Stay Away!!! What a waste of time and money! Very few meals to choose from, - we sat for the longest time just trying to figure out something we actually wanted to eat. The main courses are very small, and expensive, and they come with nothing - no salad, no sides, no vegetables, no bread, nothing!! If you wanted anything else, you had to order it separately, and of course the ala - cart offerings were very expensive. We finally settled on fish tacos, and an appetizer of coconut onion rings. The expensive drinks we had while waiting were not good at all. I ordered a martini, which tasted like cheap punch and not at all like a martini, and it was $7. After a half hour wait a kid walked by and slid our plate of onion rings onto the table, barely pausing as he raced by. NO PLATES TO EAT OFF OF, no napkins, nothing. One onion ring on the top of the pile was good, but when you picked it up, you saw that the rest of the pile was so overcooked; the darkest brown they could be before they turned black! Horrible, disgusting. And they were greasy, how they could be so burned and still saturated in grease is beyond me, yuck. We had no sooner picked up the one onion ring, when some other kid raced by and stuck our plates of fish tacos on the edge of the table as he raced by. So now are sitting there with our appetizers and dinners at the exact same time, there is no way to have our appetizer without the fish getting cold, besides the onion rings were so disgusting we could barely eat them anyway, the drinks were glorified water, and the dinners where nothing like the description, a slab of fish in a hard taco shell over lettuce!! We had enough and just left and went somewhere else. As we walked out I saw someone eating a steak, that I remember being on the menu for $25, and he was having a hard time cutting it with a steak knife, and cutting off big chunks of fat, yuck! Do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY IT WAS A HORRIBLE PLACE, and very upsetting to have to deal with them!!!

I have been to this restaurant chain 3 times so far, and I have always had to wait for a long time due to the popularity of the restaurants in Orlando. However, this particular time, I was told 45 minutes-1 hour, and then upon asking after an hour if I was about to be seated, they told me 10-20 more minutes, then after 15 minutes, I was told another 5-10 minutes. This really irritated my boyfriend and I, who then complained to the manager about the constant changing of the wait time. He made sure we were seated the next time a table cleared in less than 5 minutes. He also ordered a GREAT appetizer of coconut shrimp free of charge for the inconvenience of waiting. I really liked how accomodating he was and how focused on the happiness of his clientele he was. I highly recommend this establishment, because despite the usually long waits (if you eat on a weekend night) the service has always been excellent, and the manager is really nice and accomodating to you if you have an issue. Also the food is amazing and I couldn't be happier with the choices of the menu. Great pineapple upside down cake dessert too, that was amazing!!

kind upscale, more of an older adult place, food is fresh and put together well, I'd go again for a salad or light meal but not when I am real hungry

We wanted to eat some place different. Did not know what to expect. To my surpise the food was excellent. Our waiter Sam was very friendly and patient to answer all our questions about the different foods on the menu. Bahama Breeze is very family friendly. A true Caribbean atmosphere. I give Bahama Breeze two thumbs up.

I was in Oralndo for a business trip I stayed their for 9 days.. my dinner for 7 days was in Bahama Breeze.. what a nice and dreamy restaurant, all the waiters there are so friendly, I enjoyed all kinds of shrimps which they serve, the most strange thing which I noticed, that the dishs they serve are so big and contain so big quantity of food. not only their food is good, but also all the staff manners is very very good, one night I dropped my wallet there, I discovered that in my way back to hotel Quality inn plaza, returned back, asked the staff, directly the supervisor handed me my wallet, what honest people they are. always I'm telling that story to my friends here in Egypt - Cairo. my next trip to orlando, I will not eat else where, only in Bahama Breeze

FOR MY BIRTHDAY ME AND MY BOYFRIEND WENT TO ORLANDO, AND THE WHOLE WEEKEND WE ATE AT BAHAMA BREEZE. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND THE SERVERS WERE AMAZING. THE MUSIC WAS GREAT AND THE SCENERY WAS AWESOME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SPOT FOR COUPLES. ITS ALSO A GREAT PLACE FOR THE FAMILY.

Excellent is an understatement! This restaurant is by far one of the best out there. The atmosphere alone is so much different from most traditional restaurants. The food is extremely succulent and the drinks are to die for. Everytime our family vacation in Orlando, BB is always a stop that must be made. Have not had a bad experience there yet.

OMG! My sister and I are in Orlando for a couple of days and were looking for Cuban food and stumbled upon BB. What a wonderful change of pace. We were greeted at the door, promptly seated (1:00pm or so)and our server was Johnny on the spot. Our server Henry B. was funny and very eager to mention points of interest for us to check out. The food was incredible!! We had a app of Coconut shrimp......to die for, Cuban grilled chicken on Cuban bread, I'm glad I didn't die....Sis got Fish Tacos.....OMG! the Black Beans and Rice were excellent. We now need to find the restaurant for Empanadas and we will be in heaven....Henry B. gave us the address off the beaten path. Well, I can't save enough. We loved this restaurant and will probably go back before we depart. Thanks Henry B. Loved it!!
