Do NOT go there if you have food allergies. We identified for the waitress, and then to the chef who came out, that we had two celiacs at the table. Even after all of that, we still got white (flour-based) gravy on one of their meals. The hamburgers were seriously overcooked, too, and when we tried to bring the concerns to the waitress she ignored us.
The food was yummy, but the atmosphere was alittle loud for my little boy who has some unique issues. He still loved seeing the elephant, gorilla, and the alligator out in front of the restaurant. We did have to wait kind of a long time to recieve our food even though the restaurant was not that busy (we got there around 11:30 and were sat right away). Would recommend this place to others although if you have a kiddo that does not do well with loud places be warned that it does seem to get alittle loud during the storms.
Love this place, a visit to Disney just wouldn`t be the same without at least one trip to the RFC and now we`ve discovered we can go to the RFC at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and have breakfast there too!! OK so the food is sometimes mediocre, but the fun atmosphere & decor are brilliant. Even the wash rooms are kept within the theme.
I love the themed atmosphere, but the food wasn't as good as at the one in Tempe, Arizona. I thought it was a bit overpriced, especially for the drinks. We had a two-hour wait, which made the mediocre food more disappointing.
I loved eating at the rainforest cafe, it was like no other place, truly original. The shoping wasn't bad either, and i thought it was reasonably priced. If your in orlando you have to eat there.
We go to Disney at least twice a year and Rainforest Cafe is a tradition! If you go at least once a year, become a member - it has all kinds of perks and is worth the $15.
Food is very good and the portions are VERY large - consider sharing if you can't or don't want to carry around a to-go-box.
Kids love this place - so much fun! We visit the Rainforest in Nashville at least twice a year also. They are all fabulous!!
Warning for young children: It does get dark, has loud animal sounds and simulated lightening & thunder - might be a little scary for small ones. But adds to the experience!
This was my 2nd time back at the Rainforest Cafe. The food was great, but a little pricey as you can expect in the Disney area. My only disappoinment was that even though we had a reservation way in advance we still got a bad table away from all the animal action in the dining area. My suggestion is to try to request to be near some of the moving animals, especially if you have children.
