Havana's Cuban Cafe, Orlando

Being from Miami, we know Cuban food. This wasn t even close ! The Arroz con Pollo (Chicken and Rice) came out with a dark red color and the rice was hard. The steak came out overcooked and smelled rotten. The service was WORSE than the food. The waiter was rude, we asked for the manager, and he was even WORSE. We do NOT recommend ANYONE visit this establishment.

I have to agree that the service at this estabishment is HORRIBLE. The food isn't bad but they are understaffed. If you want to wait forever for so so latin food this is the palce. Not worth your patronage at all.

I also disagree with the review from 2007. Having lived in Miami for three years, we longed for authentic Cuban food after living up north for the past 10 years. The food was delicious and certainly authentic. And the service was fabulous. The owner took our order himself and talked with us about his family from Cuba who started the restaurant. The food tasted exactly as I remembered from Miami, and we didn't have to wait at all. I highly recommend Havana's for its authenticity and down-home service.

Normally I don't bother writing reviews, but I felt I had to counter the previous one. I had dinner at Havana's about a week ago. While the prices were a little bit high, the service was prompt and friendly, the food was fabulous, and the beverages tasty. I'd happily eat there again, did I not live in Boston.
