Fulton's isn't like the other places in Downtown Disney, really flashy, but I would say after walking into the flashy places and being turned off by the strob lights, who needs flash.
The food was great, service was excellent and very personable. My wife and I were able to relax and not feel rushed and it's on a boat docked in Lake Buena Vista. It was nice hanging outside afterwards on the dock by the lake to let our food settle.
The food was more than enough to fill, portions are huge and I didn't spend more than $40. I took the savings and gave a genorous tip to our server Michael. He was great and friendly. The bread they serve with the meal is amazing. Two thiumbs up.
This was not the first time that my wife and I have dined at Fulton's. It will, however, be our last. After making our reservation a full month in advance the hostess attempted to seat us in the bar and on bar stools! Both my wife and I were dressed up for the evening...a detail somewhat overlooked. The meal was like any other we've had at any other seafood house. What was distasteful was the fact that after giving the waiter a 30% gratuity he didn't have the common courtest or manners to return to the table and say a simple thank you. My advice to readers: go somewhere cheaper for crab legs and if you do tip, stick with the standard 15%.
We tried to eat there one Wednesday afternoon when they weren't very busy. It took 15 to 20 minutes to be seated - there was no one else waiting - when they did finally seat us we were there another 20 minutes and no had even come by to get a drink order. Then when we did flag down a waitress she was all upset that she thought she would have to wait on us and told us that the other waitress was our waitress. She went to get her and promptly got in a fight with her. Then the first waitress went over to the manager and started to get upset. The place was not very busy and to make it worse we had 2 hungry kids and one was a baby. Finally, we just got up and left. No one asked us how things were they all ignored us including the manager on the floor. When we go to Disneyworld again we will totally avoid that place and also tell everyone else about their lousy service!!!!
Not only they serve great seafood, they also cater to the meat lover in all of us. The ambiance is romantic. The people are so friendly. Its always crowded so you need to make reservations or you will wait for a long time. On average, my wait time is about 1 hour. But thats so minor, once you sit down and eat. Everythin on the menu is awesome. The wine list is extensive. The mix drinks they serve is perfect. I cant find nothing wrong with the place. Even though its casual dining, its more of a dressy type of place you need to look your best.
This is the place to go if you are at Downtown Disney! Try to make reservations a couple of days in advance or be prepared to wait 45 - 60 minutes and its worth waiting for. The food is amazing! My husband ordered the lobster and it was meaty and perfectly cooked. I ordered a citrus, grilled shrimp and rice dish which was wonderful. The calamari is lightly breaded, tender and mildly sweet. Service was second to none. Atmosphere was pleasant. Beautiful restaurant, can't say enough. Just sorry we didn't order dessert.
This place is awesome. If I could eat there every weekend...I would.
Great service and fantastic food.
Plus you can't beat that it's at Downtown Disney, Florida. Just be sure and bring plenty of money. But the money spent is well worth it.
The only thing I can say bad about this place is the long wait you have to get in. It is that good. The food was amazing. The best was our waiter. He was so friendly even though you know he hasn't sat down in at least 8 hours. Just a really nice guy. Get reservations because you will wait a very long time to get in. We waited over 2 hours, longggg wait, but it was well worth it. This place is wonderful!!
Be Advised....You have to get past the Man at the front desk to get a table....after making reservations two weeks in advance my wife and I were ignored like we had leprosy....after moving out of the way the Man Behind The Desk helped the person behind me....I guess he was having a bad day.....last year we ate at fultons crab house everything was great.....I'm sure the food would have been wonderful this time also....but we did not make it that far.....fultons crab house was going to be the highlight of our 25 wedding anniversary.....but it turned out to be a big disappointment.
If you going to Disney World and want a romantic evening with outstanding food and wine this is your place
FULTON'S HOUSE SALAD
ALASKA KING CRAB CLAWS AND AUSTRALIAN LOBSTER TAIL
Milk Chocolate Crme Brulee.
This was one of our most memorable evenings on our vacation to Disney. The food was truly incomparable to any seafood I've ever eaten. Have the Alaskan king crab claws - you'll melt like butter! Try to get a window seat upstairs in the front of the boat if you go as a couple; its truly romantic with the view at night. Pick a bottle of wine and enjoy some dessert. This is the place to go all out, if you can!!! Beautiful!!! My review doesn't do it justice.
