Great Food, Relaxed Atmosphere
You'll probably miss it if you're not looking for it. Surrounded by the angus, hooters, and crabhouses is India Palace. We found it by chance walking around as we waited 30 minutes for a table at another place.
I've gone a couple of times and have been impressed by the food and the serivce, two key ingredients when I look for restaurants. I think it's family operated; the first time I believe our waitress' son was climbing in a little gym set up in the lobby. Authentic Indian food all the way from the chutney to the tandoori. The servings are amply sized, served timely and warm. I'm not into the spicy curry, but my friends enjoyed anything spicy they ate. I am a wannabe mango connoisseur, so I tried everything mango; very sweet. I can't name the dishes specifically because I would definately botch that. I will the tandoori chicken is great! Overall if you want a delicious, relaxing dinner in the middle of jumping tourist counrty, take the time to visit this place.
